"Why won't God heal amputees?"

Now the title of the thread is not only a question, it is also the name of a God-Mocking website (http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/) run by some idiot atheist who has failed to see beyond the godless limitations of his public school education.

Fortunately, there is a very, very simple answer that diminishes naught from the Glory of God!

Let us look at some of Jesus’ miracles in which he cured the sick of:
  • Fever
  • Leprosy
  • A woman’s Long term bleeding (probably menorrhagia or hemophilia)
  • Withered hands
  • Dropsy
  • Deafness
  • Paralysis
  • Unspecified sickness
  • Demons and
  • Three cases of returning from the dead (4 if you count His own)
In an ironic, yet strangely Biblical manner, it is in the curing of Blindness that we can see the Godly intelligence behind this most clearly.

Joh:9:2: And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Joh:9:3: Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

So look above at the list; imagine that you’ve got one of those; is it not clear that you’d be put off from appreciating The Works of God by such a disability? (This is particularly true of being dead.)

Yet imagine you’ve got an arm or a leg cut off – that’s something to which you can become accustomed because nothing hurts and makes you lose concentration and thus, God’s Works can still be appreciated.

The withered hand may not seen a good example but, in fact, is a case in point. Every time that poor man said, “Look at that! That’s magnificent! Such a Work of God” He would raise his hand to point, and thus see and be reminded of the hand and not God’s Works! Hence the need for a cure.

The purpose of being here on earth, in this Vale of Tears if you will, is to appreciate the Works of God and constantly be singing His Praises and doing His Work, how can you do that with a vile hand, drips of blood falling on the floor or being mad as a bucket of frogs?

Not good enough for you? You want more proof? OK:

Note that none of these miracles were detectable after the event, the majority were internal things. This is most important. Jesus didn’t want people going around saying, “Look, this is where my leg used to end and this is where my Godly Leg starts!” No! This would have been another distraction from the true wonders of God’s Work.

God created everything therefore everything is to be praised, not just new legs.

To have people coming round to look at God’s Handiwork day and night would be most inconvenient and be as much of a curse as the original disability. God thinks of these things (even though the writer of the damnable website above did not, which is why God is Great and he isn’t and he’s just jealous and bitter.)

OK, I’ve finished now; every conceivable point has been covered and there can be no further questions.
