American Family Association: God with Saddam Hussien's Christian regime
On the American Family Association's website, Bryan Fischer says that the only thing that kept Iraq functioning under Saddam Hussein was support from Jesus, and the Christians who ran the Ba'athist government. Saddam Hussien "needed Christians to help him run the country. Christians were the only decent, trustworthy, honest people he could find."
When Hussein was toppled, it left Iraq in the hands of voters, who are mostly Muslims and "Islam simply doesn’t produce men with the kind of character and integrity needed to run a country." Fischer says America has offended God by creating a democracy "without the stabilizing values and presence of the Prince of Peace," it had under Saddam Hussien. All this is due to President Bush’s naive short-sightedness about the true nature of Islam and what it does to the human spirit. I believe him to be an honest and decent man, but deceived and foolish when it came to Islam. Islam is absent of Christian values and miraculous support from Jesus, just like secular nations where nobody really believes in Jesus - Like North-West Europe and Scandanavia, or should we say, the ruined wasteland that used to be North-West Europe and Scandanavia. What the Bible says about Saddam Hussien: 1 Everyone must submit himself to [Saddam Hussien] the governing authorities for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, he who rebels against [Saddam Hussien] the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority [Saddam Hussien]? Then do what is right and [Saddam Hussien] he will commend you. 4 For he [Saddam Hussien] is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He [Saddam Hussien] is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to [Saddam Hussien] the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6 This is also why you pay taxes, for [Saddam Hussien] the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give everyone what you owe [Saddam Hussien] him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. -Romans 13:1-7 |

More examples that show Christian Dictatorship = Good Government. Under Saddam's Christian government Iraq was the most progressive country in the Middle East, now just look at Iraq after Saddam; a wrecked country full of feuding factions. That's Muslim Socialist rule for you.
Sigh,. If we could only have the Saddam's Iraqi Economic Miracle here in the United States. |

We were promised "Regime change" - that is, Iraq would be ruled by a regime, just like Saddam's, only even more Christian. Why did things go wrong? How could a Crusade and regime installation possibly fail? My guess is that the generals inhaled some of Saddam's WMDs and suffered brain damage. |

Re: American Family Association: God with Saddam's Christian regime
I starting to think that Saddam Hussein was a secret Christian. Sure, the Bushes hated him, but Reagan supported him, and we all know who to side with there. Plus Saddam's Iraq had less gun control than America (Fully-automatic ak47s for every adult male - even Texas doesn't have that).
And while Bush and his RINO buddies talked about attacking Iran, only Saddam actually did it. |
