These Catholics have no idea of their own pagan roots, they just believe whatever their priests tell them.

Language, my dear, language B). Since when "All My Damn Gods" is Latin ? But I must admit you successfully made me chuckle, which is a good thing.
Do you know the etymology of pagan ? It comes from "pagus", from the Latin language you seem to despise so, and it means "peasant", by opposition to the townspeople who where mostly already christians (and Catholics, mind you). Indeed, the first Christian people among your own ancestors were inhabiting inside cities, because that's where the faith spread easily.

The more you know ...

(and A.M.D.G. means Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (for God's greater glory). For those who wondered, I prefer not to let a doubt over its meaning)

Are you really ready to take responsibility for each and every madman who obeyed his own wishful thinking and started, in his own delusions, to extract from the Bible (which one do not really matter) whatever character he liked, then started to act in a way he sincerely thought biblical ?

As long as a person truly acts in a way which is sincerely biblical (including wiping off entire nations from the face of the earth, bashing babies' heads against the stones, ripping pregnant women's bellies open, etc, etc), then this person is not a madman.

Everybody else (people who do not follow the word of God) are, in fact, either crazy or completely dumb.

Is there really no need of a coordination of believers putting theirs faith in a trustworthy man (some people call them "pastor) to determine what it is correct to believe when you want from the bottom of your heart to keep on Christ's tracks , to answer his call:
No. The Holy Bible is written in a plain and simple language - you would have known if you have ever picked it up. The Catholic Church, however, wants to keep their flocks away from reading the Bible, so they won't realize how un-Biblical their teachings are. :giggle:

How hard would it be for an omnipotent God to express Himself clearly enough to avoid the need for all of that? "

" And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

Luke 9 : 23, King James Bible

Yours in Christ.

One part of my response that you conveniently snipped is that God repeatedly promised to preserve His words. Did He renege on His promise, or did fallible human beings somehow overpower the Almighty?

I totally agree. NOWHERE are we told to love everyone. Only OUR personal enemies. NOT God's enemies. Before I love people like Robert DeNiro or Bruce Springsteen, they first need to wake up. But I doubt they will, and I wonder if they even can. God will laugh at them when they die and go to hell. And I will laugh with Him.
