Verses to promote at sporting events, etc.

Brothers and Sisters, we've all seen God-mocking liberal false Christians like this:

Well, Sister Lycia said something that sparked an idea in my mind.

Hello Katie,

John 3:16 is a nice verse, but I really prefer John 3:18.

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18

Isn't it just great knowing unrepentant sinners will suffer infinite torment for their horrible sins? :yahoo:

I think we should start promoting Scriptures other than John 3:16. What verse would you choose to show on the Jumbotron, for people to look up at home?

Rev. Rodimer, I'm touched.

I agree John 3:16 isn't a verse we should be promoting at sporting events. It's a great verse, don't get me wrong, but when it's all by itself it does tend to promote a very wrong interpretation of Christianity.

I think something along the lines of Revelation 21:8 would be a good verse to promote. It just seems to capture everything True Christianity™ is about. :)

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." Revelation 21:8

Revelation 21:8 would be a great verse for sporting events, bill boards, etc.! Good find, sister.

I'm also partial to my signature verse - that would work well too. Matthew 7:21

A few of my favorites:

Matthew 10:34

Exodus 21:7-8

Exodus 22:29

Numbers 31:17

And of course:

Ecclesiastes 3:19-20

Just hover your cursor over the verse to see it.

It's a nice idea but it will never happen. You can't promote your hate speech in public. That's why liberals are more accepted in the mainstream because they see a kind and loving god instead of an angry and punishing god. It doesn't make them right though. They pick and choose from the bible way more then you guys do, problem is with a book so big and with so many contradictions you have to pick and chose to some extent.

The second point is that, you're not right. Besides the fact that you can't tell people that they will roast forever in hell and laugh, You're wrong. If you prop up scripture like psalms 93:1 you would be laughed at and mocked. Trying to claim that the earth is flat or immovable. or that the earth is 6000 years old.

Dear Idiot:

Unlike in Europistan, the United States Constitution protects our right to free speech. I can promote any Scripture I like at sporting events.

I can even send out children in the street with signs, if I so choose. The police will PROTECT them.

Sports like soccer, wrestling or dancing are infiltrated by homosexuals. Especially for those i would recommend Scripture like Deuteronomy 23:17 or Leviticus 18:22.

yeah, but you will never get your air time in mainstream america and on jumbotrons in sporting events. AND even when you get that little bit on the news for 5 mins like westboro baptist church gets every like 2 months, it's only for people to hate you, or laugh. Because the average americans just sitting at home would think you were despicable.

The average American is going to Hell, what do we care?

They find the Word of God despicable because they reject Jesus Christ. God has closed their hearts, they are lost.
