How about being boiled or poached in boiling lake water, or being steamed first before being plunged into the Lake of Fire? The punishment for the wages of sin are endless when it comes to the imagination of Satan.

What burns me up is preachers who tell others not to preach about eternal damnation in hell. We need more preachers talking about sin and projecting on the church screen pictures of fire and boiling fluids.

I hate this namby pamby stuff like, "What if it causes someone so much guilt they kill themselves." What if? What if these images of hell cause some to repent of their sins? That would save their souls. Let's get real here.

This is a timely and important thread.


It is hard to estimate the number of souls that will march for Christ instead of the devil after looking at Chick tracts that are full of drawings of fire and smoke and ugly creatures - a perfect vision of hell! In my travels to a Pride celebration this past weekend, there was a billboard alongside the highway that read JESUS IS REAL. Less than a mile away stood a larger billboard that read HELL IS REAL. Both of these billboards likely convince thousands of travelers each day of the reality that is JESUS and the reality that is HELL. I praise God for the makers and sponsors of those signs.

I intend to speak to someone about HELL every day from now on and carry a picture of the Kilimanjaro volcano in Hawaii as proof of its existence. Praise His Name!

Wonderful, Brother Larry--I would imagine there are people who randomly find this Landover Baptist Church site and wonder why we are here preaching everyday.

The truth is there are only a few experts in the entire world on sin and hell. Such people have a lifetime of studying them, quickly recognize them and help the public avoid them. Those experts are we here at Landover Baptist.

The public should thank Jesus for putting us here.
