The Moslem Menace being comparable to a few drunken Irish Catholics? Nonsense!

9-11 is, inarguably, THE WORST EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD, and of course 9-11 CHANGES EVERYTHING, and cannot be compared to anything in history, nor can history teach us anything about how to respond to it.

Being THE WORST EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD, and because 9-11 CHANGES EVERYTHING, civil liberties have to be regarded a quaint anacronism, and we have to become a nation of torturers, invaders, occupiers, and, if need be, WMD-using genociders.

This is not some minor threat like what used to happen.

What's next, comparing 9-11 to light skirmishes such as the Civil War, or the British occuping Boston and burning Washington down, or the Japanese invading Alaska and bombing Hawaii while German subs sink ships in New York Harbor, or the Russians being a half-hour away from turning us all into radioactive ashes with the push of a button...

Civil liberties, quaint notions of civilized conduct and international law, could be preserved back then because those events might have been scary but, but where not THE WORST EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.
