I was good with conclusion #1 as I read it, I knew such an assertion could not be other than a false assumption.
I don't think any sane person would dismiss God in the face of the mountains of evidence and The Bible.
And, Yes, Brother Kirkeholm, there is little more annoying that false Christians who have some "magic decoding ring" to make Sodom and Gomorrah appear to be benevolent and proportional. The only thing that episode shows is that the awe and magnificence of God's Wrath is of Biblical proportions.
