Friends, if you don't mind, a slightly different perspective on KONY2012. Now, I hope not too many people read this post - you know how the liebral media might twist this information - but as they don't do prayer requests, that shouldn't be a problem.
**FOR TRUE CHRISTIAN™ EYES ONLY**
I took the liberty to ask our Joo lawyers to send me a copy of the list of charities and organizations that the Landover Baptist Church supports financially.
It may not surprise you that this list has a total of ...
one name on it.
(we prefer to get donations, not give them )
That name is:
Invisible Children.
Yes, it surprised me too. So I asked the lawyer if he could explain to me why on earth LBC supports an organization that attacks a decent (albeit non-white) Christian group.
He advised me to look a bit deeper into the IC organisation, and hinted that other groups like The Caster Foundation also stand firmly behind them. I'm sure you all know Terry and Barbara Caster, our allies in Christ for
Proposition 8.
Digging deeper, we find familiar names of other Christian (and I know, not all of them are True Christians™ ) groups that have close ties to Invisible Children.
Example:
2008 grants from National Christian Foundation, and subsidiaries- Focus on The Family: $4,268,000
- Family Research Council: $2,387,000
- The Fellowship Foundation (AKA "The Family" or the "International Foundation"): $515,000
- Lou Engle's The Call: $166,000
- Ed Silvoso's Harvest Evangelism: $817,000
- The Discovery Institute: $702,000*
- Invisible Children: $414,000*
There are other bona fide organizations that donate to Invisible Children (IC), but let's get to the core here.
Without going in too much detail, it seems Invisible Children is well liked by some of our friends like
Mike Huckabee,
Michele Bachmann,
Rick Perry,
David Barton and Pastor
Jim Garlow. They did share a podium with IC's founder at Liberty University's Fall Convention, November 7 2011.
What does this mean?
Well, let's hear it from the co-founder of IC, Jason Russell:
"
A lot of people fear Christians, they fear Liberty University, they fear Invisible Children - because they feel like we have an agenda. They see us and they go, "You want me to sign up for something, you want my money. You want, you want me to believe in your God." And it freaks them out."
In other words: IC does God's work. They work closely with Uganda's government that wants to
eradicate all homers from their country.
And we have to support them.
We also have to support Joseph Kony.
It's a win-win situation. I know they're all jiggaboos, and jiggaboo conflicts tend to be a bit messy and complicated, but, WHOEVER WINS, it will be
Christians!!!!!!!
I hope they use our $ 100.00 wisely!
GLORY!
PS: the fact that they advocate having more US boots on the ground isn't too shabby either.
