Indeed, I couldn't agree with you more. Your ancient book was written to bring moral sense to the people by using stories.

Did anyone of you ever fly with a plane from London to Sydney and then to New York and back to London (world tour)? I did and I flew a
ROUND the world. There is no end of the earth
If you want to live in your fantasy world of the earth being flat and all than that's your problem but the reality is that the earth is round. Look at all the pictures of the earth they have made, are you telling me that everyone one of them is photoshopped?
