It only has one name. As I assume not many of you understand Faroese or even know a thing about the country, I just tried to make it easier, and translated it. You see, in faroese, it's Ólavsøka, in Danish it's Olai, in norwegian it's Olsok and translated into english it would be St.Olaf's Wake. Ólavsøka itself is the 29th of July I belief - so no, it does not last all year long.
Nobody does a lick of work? All money used on booze and party hats? I dont know where you got that idea from, but it clearly shows you don't know a thing about the Faroe Islands. I don't blame you though - it is a small country afterall.
