Try this. Get a record out. Paint it green. Write the word 'Earth' on it. Put a plastic army man on it. Spin the record. What happens?

stand up, don't move your Equatorial rotation velocity is 1,674.4 km/h (465.1 m/s in a circle, kind of like if you are standing on a bus and its going 30 mph you velocity is also 30 mph, or if you hold a bowling ball out side a window that ball is also moving at a velocity of 30 mph, now if your on a bus and stand up and walk toward the front at 3 mph then you velocity is only 27 mph
