Oh no, friend, there is no propaganda, no "control." See, humans have free will, otherwise God would have made us robots programmed to love Him. Instead we can choose to love Him or not. And from the very beginning humans have chosen to not love Him.

Exploring the earth has value only in bringing the Word of God to savages and heathens for the sake of their salvation. Other than that, who cares if it's flat or round?
