In The Bible we are encouraged to act appropriately and to respect every individual, male or female, slave or free, as they deserve to be respected. In the same way as we know the difference between clean and unclean meat we know that there is clean and unclean kissing.

This is not the same greeting associated with dockland locations at 3 a.m. or upon arrival at the bordello to deliver costumes and gin. No doubt those greetings are enthusiastic even if they're not genuine but are they holy?
Well, in a sense I guess a bordello (or seaport alleyway) is "set aside" for some special purpose but that is not really the point is it. Satan is the puppetmaster in those cases, whereas Rev. Osborne offers guidance and sound teaching in matters of propriety and good taste.
So no, they are not holy. Is it only the brethren we should greet? Corinth was a hotbed of salacious compulsions, a seaport offering a cosmopolitan selection of co-obsessees but very little in the way of good taste or propriety. Paul knew that and knew about the styles of kissing associated with any such melting pot just as we would if we stood outside a nightclub after about 4 in the morning and because none of these things are holy God smote the joint with an earthquake.
