They're not just ignorant; they suppress the truth. Deep down, they know the God of the Bible is real, but when they deny Him, it leaves a vacuum in their souls, so they turn to worshipping idols or nature.
Rom 1:20-23
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Anyway, thank you for sharing your devotion. There's no doubt in my mind the Nepalese brought that earthquake on themselves through their idolatry. It just saddens me how adherents of false religions didn't think about future generations. Even if everyone in Nepal converted to Christianity tomorrow, they would still get earthquakes in the region for another three or four generations (if Jesus doesn't return before then, of course).
