My heart is always deeply troubled when musicians neglect to use their God-given abilities to bring glory to His Kingdom. These malcontents deserve no sympathy from True Christians™ when Jesus sends His angels to hurtle them into the lake of fire on the day of judgment. It's still not too late for them to turn their back on sin, make amends to Jesus (and us) for the hurtful things they say, and instead produce the joyful noise of praise and worship music. Instead of singing sassy songs about how they don't need to obey the LORD's commandments, they could instead sing about how abortion is wrong and how awesome it is to know you'll be getting your very own golden mansion in Heaven when you die. They could praise the LORD's excellent greatness with cymbals, trumpets, and psalms!
Psalm 150:1-6
Praise ye the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary:
praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts:
praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:
praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance:
praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise him upon the loud cymbals:
praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord.
To say they're blowing this wonderful opportunity is the understatement of the century. If they aren't careful, they'll have all eternity to ponder what might have been, if only they were humble and meek enough to accept gentle Jesus' sweet tendermercies. My family and I will pray for them.
II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony
