There's nothing wrong with teaching them right from wrong. Me being a very softhearted mother however, I have NEVER spanked my son and he's 3. Yet, he still listens to everything I say. Not all children are the same.
For some children 'time-outs' work for others it doesn't.
For some children 'loss of privileges ' work for others it doesn't.
For some children 'spanking' work for others it doesn't.
Children do not all respond to the same form of discipline.
I tried all the so called 'acceptable' forms of discipline and ended up with an argumentative
, angry
and disrespectful 13 yr old son that is living with friends because he is abusive to me.
I'm not saying the way you discipline is wrong for you but things could have been much better for my son if I had given his bare bottom some good beatings
while he was still young enough for it to be legal.
