First off, I would like to thank Pastor Manning for that incredible rebuke. That was amazing.

I see. In your opinion, the Bible is open to interpretation. Which parts do you choose to follow literally and which parts are open to interpretation?
Was Jesus truly in the ground for three days? Did He rise from the grave? Or perhaps that is open to interpretation? Maybe the resurrection was symbolic for the future redemption of Israel after the temple was destroyed by the Romans. Heck, maybe Jesus is just some made up folk hero like Heracles.
Do you see the danger of this interpretive thinking and the troubles it can lead to? I know I certainly do.
If the Bible says there are people God hates, there are people God hates. It isn't open to interpretation.
If the Bible and the New Testament in particular says there are things that people can do that are sins, it is true.
You either must believe in these things or you have not earned the right to believe in Jesus!

Teaching not interpreting
Quote:
Have you met Jesus? Have you been face to face with God?
|
Of course I have. Every time I pray. Haven't you? Are you some sort of atheist fool who claims I can't see God because He is invisible?
Only fools can't see our invisible savior. It reminds me of that one story where the king got new clothes that only fools couldn't see.
Psalm 14:1
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Quote:
I find it a shame that you stare into the ass of Satan,

That's gross.
Friend, I confess Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. If I do this, I am of Christ Jesus. I could not do it if Jesus was not leading my life.
1 John 4:2-3
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
You make pronouncements against a Christian in the most disgusting and puerile ways. Are you a teenager?
Quote:
The unmerciful, destructive and hateful God you describe is no God of mine or any other Christian with a good value.

God has called us to live without sin! If you can't manage that, why are you a Christian?
Matthew 5:48
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Quote:
Without understanding? It matters not how much you understand, but whether you understand your opponent. You don't know who he is, his actions, his person, his family, nor his experience. How much right do you have to judge him, once this is pointed out?
|
I am not judging. I am trying to save souls here as we are called to in the exact way we are called to.
Did Jesus go around saying?
"Aw, that's alright. You're a sinner. I still love you huggy bunches anyway."
No! Jesus said:
Luke 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Did Paul say to coddle sinners who do the wrong things? Absolutely not!
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].
2 Timothy 4:1-2 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Paul is not making a suggestion here. He is making a command.
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
While we at LBC do our fair share of rebuking, I want you to look at the word "reprove" I left bold for you. In the Greek, the word is used thusly:
a) generally with a suggestion of shame of the person convicted
b) by conviction to bring to the light, to expose
2) to find fault with, correct
a) by word
1) to reprehend severely, chide, admonish, reprove
2) to call to account, show one his fault, demand an explanation
b) by deed
1) to chasten, to punish
We are to save people by any means necessary. We will not lie to them or sugarcoat God's Word!
Quote:
If one rejects Christ as many have, it is not your responsibility to fight their decision.

Utterly and completely wrong!
Jude 1:22-23 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Quote:
People like you, who shame and fight, are but pests in the eye of God who will be cast into the depths of the fire

Didn't you just finish saying I was too judgmental and that only God weighs the heart and kidneys of a man to know his inner worth?
Do you often go around pointing out splinters in people's eyes with that 2x4 protruding from yours?
