Hello Rev. Jim Osbourne. I do not believe in luck but as luck would have it I was in Washington, D.C. when Dr. King gave this speech. I was in college at the time but this was not part of my studies because I did not study theology or civil disobedience or race music or basketball. When Dr. King gave his speech I was in a bar that was mostly filled with Irish people although I am not Irish.
This is what God says about luck and it is from Proverbs 16:33 in the Old Testament:
The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.
They say the Irish are lucky but they were not lucky that day because the toilets backed up at the bar.
