It's all true, and it's a good example for us that He still asked for their forgiveness because they didn't understand what they were doing. Luke 23:34 Fortunately for us, the story didn't end there. Jesus did rise from the dead and is coming back to judge...not as a lamb this time, but as the lion! Revelation 5:5. It is going to be a terrible time both in the prejudgement days and in the post-judgement "white throne judgement day" Matthew 24:21 and finally, Revelation 20:11-15! There won't be too much turning of the other cheek on that day and there will be a lot of paychecks being handed out to the sinners that earned it! Romans 6:23
