As you can see, we knew
in advance that the direct intervention by
Jesus would be too much for the average atheist to digest. Once again, we can see an example of
confirmation bias in your post. As for "common sense". We know very well that the
Bible opposes common sense, it is
foolishness to those who deny the Reality of
Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:23)! If we had
only common sense and scientific observation, we would have to
dismiss many of the wonderful
Truths™ in the Bible. We would have to follow
secular ethics and our conscience without ever knowing that common sense and kindness only lead to Hell. Do not follow your heart! Follow
Jesus!
