Default Re: The Christian's Guide To Detecting Demonic Music - 12-08-2012, 10:06 AM

Son, Bach is simply over rated. Aside from being a Luthertonian (and therefore not a True Christian™), his Magnificat borders on (if not outright) cathylick Mary worship – but I digress.

The chosen key for Christians (C Major) is to simplify things (no troublesome sharp and flats) and additionally, with the equal tempered scale largely adopted in the 19th Century all keys sound the same anyway. This wasn't always so, and Bach was rumored to have something to do with this. There was a time when there were perfect thirds, forths, and fifths – which pleased the Lord's ear, and each key was distinctive. What caused the problem was the invention of lutes (the predecessor to other fretted instruments like the modern satanic guitar used in rock music) and keyboard instruments (again used in rock and metal bands).

Some musicologists credit Bach with "inventing" the equal tempered scale (and there were lots of other scales floating around in Bach's time) with his "Well Tempered Clavier", while others insist that Bach was merely exhibiting his cleverness in avoiding the inevitable "wolf tones" with his compositions. We are still paying these useless academics in Universities as they will never know – Bach is dead and there are no recordings from that period. Oh sure, you can attend some "authentic" period performances where they haul out their viols and sackbuts – but they all sound like crap.

Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn
