That wasn't Brother Temperance's point. Meat is a blessing from the Lord (provided, of course, that you say a Grace before the meal), but it is not a sin to abstain from eating meat. Imposing your pseudo-vegan lifestyle on others, however,
is a sin:
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Romans 14:1-3
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith.... commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
