Sorry to dredge up such an old thread, but I'm a bit confused. If God made light on the first day (genesis 1:3-5) but only made the sun and stars on the fourth day (genesis 1:14-16) how were the days and night separated before, as in gen 1:14 it says that the stars were what separated the days and night, but He made day and night separate on the first day?

Also, where did the light come from for the first three days, if not from the sun?

Sorry for all the questions, it could just be my woman's brain acting up again.
