Warning: NOT for the feint of heart.
The prophet Isaiah used spiders to teach an important lesson. He spoke of people who were so evil that they "hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web" (Isaiah 59:5). Isaiah was using these characteristics of dangerous and powerful creatures to describe folks who were evil, folks like the Japanese. The Japanese, like the heathens in Isaiah's time, plot against those around them and used a "web of deception" to trick people.
But the LORD will not be duped!
Their webs shall not become garments,
Neither shall they cover themselves with their work
Isaiah 59:6
In other words, even though a spider can weave an intricate and complex web, that web cannot hide the spider, and even though sinful people can weave an intricate and complex web of deception, that web cannot hide them from God. He still knows what they are doing.
Paul confirms this in his letter to the Hebrews when he said:
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:
but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Hebrews 4:13
The point is, the Japanese will not get away with their evil doings, and those who support them will not get away with it either. The LORD has struck down a plague upon those who reject America and buy Japanese:
