Introduction -
12-04-2018, 03:33 AM
Hello, a little bit about myself. I was lucky to have grown up in a Christian home, and to have been exposed to the truths of God's Word at a very young age. I love Jesus and want to live for Him and I do my best to obey the Bible and what it teaches. I got baptized a few years ago, after better understanding the gift of Salvation. I am currently a University student finishing up my last term of school and am thankful that God has provided me with a job after graduation.
I love the Lord and want to share His message of love with others around me, so that they accept Christ's gift of salvation and can be sparred from the horrors of hell. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again three days later, gloriously conquering death!!!!

Glory! Welcome and God Bless! How do you most enjoy getting through the thick skulls of sinners that their "freedom to think what they want" is naught but Satan feeding them lies and they are not free at all but enslaved to Sin and serving the devil's wishes?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Thanks! I try to show people that they are not 'good people' by God's standards. God is holy and he considers anything that goes against His Word as evil. I try to help them see how much they need Jesus! And that there is nothing we can to on our own strength to save us from our sin, and that is why we need Jesus so much! If they accept God's free gift of salvation and turn away from their sins, they become Children of God. It is not easy being a Christian, but God promises that if we remain faithful to Him, He will reward us.

Yes! It is like God's loyalty program. You get a reward at the end of the way, like when you have that loyalty card and earn points and at the end you can change them for a good beer glass (only the glass, not the beer) or a portrait for your family photo. Only the reward is much much much better, you know, an eternity on Heaven!
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

I'm curious how, dear. Your charming persuasion? Your forceful masculinity? Do you bribe them? You see, in my opinion, sinners don't believe they are sinners. They believe they See Jesus for Who He Is, only they don't realize every single person who believes that actually creates a different version of Jesus! How do I know? Ask ten Christians Who Jesus Is Really and you'll get ten different answers!
Precious few people read the Holy Bible in the first case, and those that do are more likely than not to cherry pick verses that validate their already existing moral code. We see it here all the time. There is a reason Jesus warned that most people who consider themselves Christians will be dumped into the Pits of Hell with the Murderers, Adulterers, Pagans, Homosexuals, Child Rapists, Catholics, Clinton Supporters, People Who Use iPhones, and the like (Matthew 7:21-23; Romans 1:21-27).

With all due respect dear, this sounds like the answer on an open book test. I wonder how you do this. What does it look like? How many souls have you saved? What method works best? What method did you realize is most ridiculous?

Hello Elvin. That is quite an unusual name - sort of half way between Elvis and Alvin, one of the Chipmunks. Did your family originate in one of the commie lands?
Tell us, what church do you go to? And what is your favorite Bible verse? You know what we mean - maybe the one which means most to you, or perhaps the one that comforts you during those rare moments of existential despair, or even the one you find most helpful when witnessing to the Unsaved.
I for one am very much looking forward to knowing you better, all the more so in the light of Sister Mary Etheldreda's comments.
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

Canadian?!
I will add swift relocation under the notes by your name in my prayer list. Do you have plans to leave that godless land any time soon? While I love the beauty of British Columbia and the quaint feel of Quebec City, there is a sinister feeling that abounds aboot your country. I plead the Blood of Jesus over you for protection.
Do you consider yourself Baptist, man? Are you partial to a particular firearm? Have you taken a built for child-bearing spouse yet? Please tell us these things so the men here can bond with you in some fashion. I am a masculine young fellow with a great interest in your answers. I'll have more questions later.
Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”
Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen

Hello . .Thank you for a nice introduction. You mentioned being of South Asian extraction and there are so many false belief systems there you are fortunate to be living somewhere else. I'm wondering if your family were already Christians before they escaped or did they hear The Good News after arriving in North America?
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks. Thankfully my family on both my parents side were both Christian before arriving in Canada. They also grew up in Christians homes.

To be honest I love Canada! I love the multi-cultural atmosphere where I live. But I do feel that Satan is really attacking our country as basic morals are being thrown out the window. We are way too accepting of things the Bible declares wrong, such as homosexuality, abortion and many other sins. It is scary!

I am a Baptist I am currently not married. I want to finish university before marriage. I will probably get an arranged marriage, and I am praying that God would bring a godly fearing wife into my life so that we can raise our family together in the Lord.

It certainly is. However, you need to be more careful when you are describing sins which are condemned by the Holy Bible. For example, not all abortion is condemned. There are certain types of abortion which the Bible actually supports:
Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
Here the prophet describes what will happen to Samaria because of its sins. Opening the bellies of pregnant women (which is a rather drastic form of abortion), so that both the unborn baby and its mother die, is part of God's punishment, and as such, it is the correct way to proceed. Not a sin.
The same way, killing babies that were already born, is not a sin when the babies were born into families of sinners:
Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
So please, try to be more careful when you cite what the Bible says. God does not like when we add or diminish from His Perfect Word:
Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Proverbs 30:5-6
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
I am sure you do not want to be found a liar. I will pray for you.

Re: Introduction -

Hello,
When I was 15 years old, I was sent to prison for 2nd murder. I spent 10 years behind bars; however while I was there, I took advantage of the educational programs, and was able to walk away with some schooling underneath my belt.
When I got out, I went to a technical college and got a two year degree in computer technology, and than finished up my four year degree at a different school, getting my B.A. in Communication.
Even with the major felony that I had, I was still able to land high paying jobs in corporate America. Unfortunately, because I didn't have God in my life and nobody to help me see the truth. I've already blown through all of my savings and 401K on drugs, strip clubs, and gambling.
I have a good paying job right now, but not having Jesus Christ in my life, has made my whole prison experience pointless, because I don't feel like I'm doing any better out in the free world, than I was locked up.
So that back drop leads me to answering the questions that were asked:
When I was young, I went to Pilgrim Baptist Church, located in St. Paul, MN.
When I moved to Arizona, I met a lot of negro people who said they were Christians, but in the end, they only helped to keep moving me in the wrong direction towards Satan. I went to a whole bunch of churches out there, I just can't remember any of the names.
My favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 6:5 - Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ.
I came to find Jesus because I want to be saved. I need True Christians to show me how to worship and love Jesus Christ, in ways that haven't been taught to me yet.
If I didn't come to Jesus at this point in my life. Then I know my son will grow up to be just like me, and I want to give him the chance I never had growing up. Plus I want my son to love Jesus Christ, just like his father.

Ted, why have you piled in and started talking about yourself here, instead of starting an introduction thread of your own? Is it just stupidity, or can your thieving nature not resist stealing Elvin's thread?

My goodness, you sound very angry. Please don't kill anybody.
This is a loving church, and you well get nothing but love and compassion from us.
Please don't kill me.
