Teaching proper gun safety to kids -
11-21-2017, 12:39 PM
Hello Landover, It's me Dolli again. I've come for further advice after yet another recent mishap.
As you maybe know, our trailer burned down last month, and we've been temporarily been bunking with neighbors. Well wouldn't you know, kids will be kids; which sometimes means them being sinful, mischievous brats.
As it appears Donald got into the neighbors gun vault and took out one of his pistols, and started play chasing Modesty around the room. Now, here is where I admit to a degree of fault. It was such a precious sight watching my children at play, I just sat back and took photos.
This is the last photo I took of them before what happened next.
Donald got a bit frisky and tackled Modesty. They fell, and started getting horse-playing with one another. Just as I got up to scold them, there was a loud bang. Then Modesty went limp. When the doctor came, he examined her as close and thorough as Roy Moore would before he pronounced her dead at the scene.
The worst part about all this was Modesty was still a blooming, young thing; we were set on peddling wedding her off to the highest bidding True Christian ™ gentleman for a new replacement trailer as a bride price.
My other daughters are getting up in years (late teens) and will soon be uncomely. My youngest daughter Grenadine hasn't even bled yet. What will do to get our new trailer now?
Back to my original question about gun safety for kids. Have I been a bad parent? Perhaps I failed in teaching my kids not to play with guns of other men, but somehow, I feel the real fault lies with liberals. (Perhaps I answered my own question!)
I've provided an updated status of the state of my children:
Adelaide
Eunice
Rush
Crusher
Truth
Lloyd
Mildrew
Angina
Scooter
Bud
Carson
Bobby
Modesty
Boomhauer
Donald
Grenadine
Lysol

Poor Dolly. The LORD's hand is in all things for those who are faithful (Romans 8:28). Don't fret. If He wanted little Modesty to survive, He could have preserved her heart rate, or prevented the bullet from leaving the chamber, or made sure your friends had locked the gun vault last week in anticipation of their little rough-housing fun, or made it so bullets don't hurt children through some miracle of physics, or really an infinite number of possibilities because He is God and can do anything. The point is, you can do all things through Him, and so I would encourage you to praise Him for your blessings, and Thank Him for His Perfect Plan, whatever it is, and good luck figuring it out. I think that's probably important now. I'll pray for your family needs to find a husband who can provide you with a bride gift sufficient enough to stop freeloading off the kindness of friends.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I must have missed something in the past. When did Lysol pass away? Anywho, the best type of gun control should be lots of prayer. Through God, he'll protect your kids from these mishaps happening again. Libtards can talk all they want about requiring gun locks and their silly billy registries, but the only real protections from gun violence and accidents is prayer and, at other times, another gun. I see that your other kids don't carry one around all the time. Maybe having them have a gun of their own will teach them more responsibility with how to handle them.
Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
I'm sure there has to be non profits somewhere that give under-privileged kids a gun of their own as well as free gun safety courses. I can email the NRA and ask for you if you want on how to handle this in the future.

God does perform miracles with metal as reported here at 1:30
I didn't know so looked up the weights, first for a "semi" which comes out at 80,000 pounds and that one looked pretty full so we have a ball-park figure for this miracle. Next, and not being certain of the details, I thought Lucky Gunner would have something and yes! Here's a 9mm weighing in at 124 grains. There are 7,000 grains in a pound so the truck weighed 560,000,000 grains. The miraculous intervention to save your daughter would be just 124 560millionths of that required to save the car driver and yet he was saved while she was not.
For the miraculous effort to be the same in both cases the daughter would need only to be 0.000000221428571 as deserving of miraculous intervention, according to my calculator, or alternatively the prayers for her protection were that much less effective. The Bible is clear:
I JOHN 5 .KJV . look up
14 This is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Concerning the truth of that statement I am 100% certain. In it we read that it was not His will for any miracle to occur involving so small a weight of metal. God is very thorough on this subject. Our will also comes into His equation:
JOHN 15 .KJV . look up
7 [Jesus speaking] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
There are people who mumble "prayers" (catholics for example) but who do not abide in Jesus. What would happen if such a person did that and got a positive result? Just because someone who did abide in Jesus asked for the same thing? Sometimes a miracle preserves a heathen because God knows that in the future they will turn to Him. He also knows those who never will. For whom redemption is impossible. Who would never receive Salvation if they lived for a million years. The Pastors will be able to discern which category applies here and I would encourage you to contact them. I see that a home visit will be unavailable at present but some other arrangement must be possible.
HOSEA 14 .KJV . whole chapter
9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

Mr. Buck, my youngest daughter Lysol was taken from us in a terrible tornado that ripped through the trailer park a few years ago. We get a lot of twisters in Illinois.
I agree, giving more guns actually improves the safety overall for kids, for some odd reason. When you think about it, if they all had guns, Bud could have fired a warning shot, or even shot little Donald in the foot to stop him in his tracks. It would have been better than Modesty losing her precious life.
And what could I have done? I was on on the couch supervising, and couldn't have possibly crossed the coffee-table in time to stop them!

MitzaLizalor,
Thank you for your thoughtful candor. Your description of the preserved heathen truly had me thinking, in an opposite situation, could God have let Modesty die because he had a higher purpose for her, over my needs?Sometimes in life, we so take for granted for what we expect to happen and then Jesus throws us a curveball. Suddenly Modesty ain't going to be marrying any rich Christian bachelor for the good of the family. Instead, she gets called to Jesus early at the tender age of eight.
The Lord is so good to give us these surprises. Just when we think we are certain of fate, He proves us wrong, and how mortal we really are; specks of dust in His righteous eye.

This is sad news for me. What am I supposed to do now Dolly? I mean, it's not like I'm going to live forever and I had my heart set on getting young Modesty. This is just the WORST outcome.

It was unexpected, Dr. Toole, but I hope your bride price isn't off the table. I can run down some other viable options for you.
Adelaide is 36, a resigned spinster and estranged. I don't know where she lives now. Probably sitting on a porch somewhere knitting. Not worth mentioning, but I do anyway as she is family.
Eunice, 25, is also probably too old and plain for your liking, but she is demure and keeps her mouth shut.
Perhaps I can interest you in one of my two youngest?
Truth just turned twelve and is on the mousy side, but is very good at keeping secrets. She will never lie to you either, and is good with obedience.
Grenadine is my youngest, and a bit of a free spirit, and artistic. You might have to spend some time with her to mould her into a Good Christian Housewife®. You'll have to hurry because Mr. Moans tells me there are some Republican politicians in line with tender offers on the plate. (I even hear the POTUS may be interested in taking her as a paramour, but all just rumors at the moment!)
If none of the above are suitable, not all is lost. I still have some child-bearing stamina in me, and if you can wait a few years, I may just pop something along the way for you, as a Good Christian Wife® should.
