Day 1. Genesis 1-3 -
09-05-2007, 05:57 PM
Genesis 1-3
In the beginning...
It begins.
Praise Jesus!!!
Genesis 1 tells the story of the first six days of creation. Praise Jesus!!!
God in His master plan, KNEW how the world had to be made. He was smart enough to make water before land, and then plants after water, and then animals after plants (the animals would have died without oxygen you see).
He's that smart.
Praise HIM!
In the beginning of Genesis 2, we see how our all-powerful God rested. Praise His tired holi-ness! Praise Him indeed!
Remeber in day six, Genesis 1:26, he made man, then in Genesis 2:7, he made man again. Praise His redundant nature!
Genesis 3 is where it starts to get good! There's the serpent, and the tree, and the nakedness. And then God kicks them out of eden.
Friends, read up! Drink up the knowledge contained in this book.
Remember, the story of creation (that which those eviloutionists don't want you to know) is contained in today's reading.
Praise Jesus!!!

Praise Jesus Brother V.
It makes so much more sense than all the non-sense about "Big bangs" out of nothing.
There HAD to be a reason for The Beginning and that reason is right there in Black and white.
God makes all things possible.

How true you are Sister Tali.
I have people regularly mock me for my belief in God.
And when I ask them for their explanation of where earth, animals, humans, plants, the universe came from they waffle something about a "big bang"?
But how can a "bang" of a couple of atoms that happened to mysteriously appear from nothingness come up with so many different life forms?
Would not each "bang" produce the same?
What kind of "bang" produced a pumpkin? And why would a different "bang" produce a donkey?
Defies logic their "theory" when there is just so much data and evidence to say that God produced it ALL in 6 days and on the seventh day he rested.
2 Chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.

I could not have said it better, Sister Charli.
I have grown tired of telling them that there is no "theory" that will save them from the fires of Hell. I just hope that they repent early on, and enjoy the glory of His creations instead of wasting precious time with this monkey non-sense.
Genesis 38:15 When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.
Hebrews 7:14 For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.

Re: Day 1. Genesis 1-3 -

Though it has been a while since this thread has been posted in, there is something regarding Genesis 1-3 that I've been wondering about, and this seems the appropriate place to put it.
Genesis 1:24 through Genesis 1:27 tells us that God made the animals of the world before He made man: "And God said, 'Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.' And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.' So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." All of which is very well and good, and very profoundly written.
But during the story telling of the creation of Adam, Genesis 2:19 through Genesis 2:20 tells us that the beasts and birds of the Earth came after man: "Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals." Again, all well and good, as it explains how man came to dominate over the creatures of the world.
But we are taught that the word of the Bible is 100% true, and in these places, the story of the Bible contradicts itself. I don't wish to say that the Bible is wrong - for that would be blasphemous - nor do I want to discredit the possibility that, in His power, God could have done both at once. So the question I pose is thus: Are both versions of the order of events during Creation correct, or is it only one; and, if the later, which one?

They are both true.
The first is the account of creation of the world and the universe.
The second is the account of creation of Eden.
Adam and Eve were the special, chosen people created in Eden. The first Jews.
The other people were the ones their children hybridized with (probably the "Neanderthals") once kicked out of Eden.
Bible boring? Nonsense!

Sounds like an illogical myth to me. What you fail to mention is that according to the story (Genesis 1:14-19) the sun wasn't put there until the fourth day, so all the plants and the water (that had been created already) would have frozen solid by then, due to lack of heat. How can plants function without sunlight anyway?

1 Timothy 5: 16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed ...

Many people who come to these forums and to the main website think we make up the Bible verses, or that we take things out of context; or that wasn't the meaning... or ... Well, this is an opportuntiy for us all to re-read, together, the ONE book that the Lord has given us to get to know Him.
That's why the Bible (KJV1611) is so important. It is the only piece of literature that our Lord has provided for us to understand His Holy ways.
If we don't know what God has to say, then we could fall for any of those teaching that lie-berul pastors have been dishing out.
That's why a full study of the Bible (KJV1611) is so important. How will anyone know what's in the Bible, without reading it.

Lack of heat doesn't equal cold. Where does it say that God had created coldness by then? And the plants survived on the light from Genesis 1:3, obviously. What's really impressive is that He didn't create that light until after making the Heaven and the Earth, meaning that He must have created them in the dark.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

How true brother. Just imagine Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The LORD was probably just fumbling about, like a person in an unfamiliar house looking for the light switch. Then he realized... silly me, I haven't made light yet.

I've often thought that the Lord always has a sense of the dramatic. Like a new model car, Madison Avenue advertisers always like to keep things under wrap until the great unveiling - stunning the public with a new creation. The Lord is always dramatic with his disasters, things like earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, volcanoes, fires and brimstones. Certainly well beyond what any Hellywood special effects department could dream up. Turning the Lights on at the final moment to reveal his Project Universe was impressive. He just had everything down to the finest detail, including those little yeast organisms to make beer for day seven. It was his way of telling True Christians™ to kick back and enjoy - this Bud's for you.
Glory!
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

You teach with a great annointing Brother V! Praise Jesus!
Psalm 50:22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
Deuteronomy32:35 To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
Jerimiah 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
Numbers 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
Leviticus24:14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
Ephesians5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
