Now, now. No need to get your collective (as in shared
) knickers in a knot.
His Holiness is merely politely saying what everyone who knows anything about religion is fully aware of already... The Koran, like the King James 'Bible', is based on the real truths and teachings of Christianity that the Catholic Church has been bringing to the world since the very time Jesus died, rose to Heaven and then built His Church on the rock of Saint Peter.
Of course there is but the one true Lord and of course these johnny-come-lately cults like the Muslims, Baptists, Lutherans etc... have chosen to cherry pick the greatness of The New Testament in an effort to buttress their specious claims of legitimacy. Where else could they possibly turn to for such unfathomable brilliance and unquestionable truths? Does one expect these poachers to steal from Hindu fables and fashion anything that remotely makes sense to the ways of the world God has given us?
Another example of His Holiness in action is his possible
trip to Scotland where they too think themselves Christians and yet run around in Kilts throwing telephone poles at each other.
Yes, Francis is doing his best (at God's bequest) to bring everyone into the tent of Christian love and worship so clearly it is perfectly normal for him to offer breakaway sects the chance to embrace the possibility that Jesus is their savior too... and He is!
Bless you, my Mama Cass Elliots in a Taylor Swift world,
