Introducing myself -
04-17-2012, 08:07 PM
Hello Friends, my name is Aaron and I'm a 27 year old believer. I live in Flushing, OH , with my faithful family, or at least the main part of us can be called like that.
My father grew me up supporting my education with a lot of lessons and punishments when I was not strong enough to stand out in our small community.
He chose not to send me to those satanic schools spreading all across the country, so I studied at home, followed by my parents, and so did my younger sister.
She is the one worrying me today, so I have been reading your website for the last two weeks, and now decided it was time to show up and introduce myself as one of you, brothers.
I'm here to save my sister, and I thank the Lord I've found you and your truly blessed website. My father wants to get my sister a husband and give her to him to create a new faithful family. But she went like crazy, she said she wants to choose her man, and she says that she will walk out home next month and we will have no power over her anymore.
I'd like to hear your advice, about what could I do to take her back on the right track.
YIC

You should be backing up your father and helping to guard her until her husband takes her off your hands.

I notice you failed to tell us your favorite Bible verse, so please allow me to suggest one:
(1 Timothy 2:12) "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."
Keep your women in line, as God commands.
Yours in Christ,

Amen! Next time I'm in the Wheeling area I want to hear your best dueling banjo.
If Deliverance has taught me anything (I have seen it at least 1000 times) you are quite the musical people.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Sorry, I forgot to say about that. Thanks for the precious hint, but I must say that for that part, I prefer to pray and meditate on (1 Timothy 2:4) "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."
and that for this reason I'm seeking for you advice and guide.
I'm already helping my father guarding my sister, but I'd want to take her back on the enlightened way to live.
I have read many posts by Didymus Much, I never agree with him, now I'm wondering why do you let address this way newbies.

Hi Aaron.
Your sentences parse oddly. It makes you sound like a foreigner.
But anyway, why on Earth have you been reading Didymus' posts? Why do you want to save your sister? Do you not hate your family?
I'm sorry, Im just chock full of questions today.

Hi Catherine. My sentences are written in a pure Ohio accent, everybody in Flushing gets the meaning without thinking I'm odd, so I don't really know why do I sound like that to YOU.
Anyway, my answers will sound maybe like another bunch of questions: why shouldn't I save my sister and should hate my family?
Maybe it's you, hating yours? Others already gave me some advice, maybe we could seek for that together.

Hi Aaron.
In order:
I'd imagine its because I've never been to nor met anyone from Ohio. Why do you write in an accent though? I have a broad Sheffield accent but I still type the letter "t" despite not really having pronounced one since the early nineties.
You can't save your sister. Only God can save people.
You should hate your family because of Luke 14:26
Hope that helps, and welcome to the forum.

I want to help her to get salvation. She's freaks out when me or my father talk about her future family, and she's not so good with chores anymore.
Today she's far from God's truth, and I think she needs my help to gat back on track.
And I could use some help from you, if you want to share you knowledge.

I apprehended that many people from the 'north' did in fact pronounce the letter 't' a great deal: such as t' mill t' child support agency and t' prison. I know this is not endemic as my cow of an ex wife was from Lancaster and spoke with RC.
I'm also interested to know if you 'speak as I find' and if you could translate 'He'd nut putten a deal o' nowt inti t' land' as I would love to finally find out what it means.

There was a reason that the Pastors here keep Didly Munch around, but it escapes me at the moment. It probably has something to do with the infinite mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ and the hope that one day he will see the Light. Didly Munch does know his Bible (KJV1611) quite well – better than most people who call themselves Christian.
Then there is that revolting papist Father Lester that wonders in from time to time peddling his perpetual indulgences. I personally have no hope for him, but he is a hardship case and some see him as a challenge.
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

A good point. I was actually referring to "t"s within words. The phrase "what a lot of little bottles" becomes the retarded mewing "wha' a lo' a li'l bo'les".
While I can translate the phrase I am wary of violating the Biblical rule against teaching. As such, I direct you to this page written by a Reverand which contains a translation. I hope that merely pointing to a source is not viewed as teaching.

Worry not, good Catherine; I'm proud to say that I haven't learnt anything today that did not come from the Bibile (KJV1611).
Glory!
