Friends,
My son was driving home from a trophy hunting trip north of Freehold on a secluded back road when he came upon a car in a ditch. It was a stormy night with bitter cold rain and he noticed two people waving him down. Being a True Christian™ he naturally pulled over to offer help. He said it was an elderly couple who got turned around and eventually ditched their car. So he got them into the cab of the truck and drove them back to Freehold. They thanked him and as they were getting out my son said.
"It was by the Grace of God that I found you. I guess I'll be seeing you in church on Sunday? You do attend Landover Baptist?"
To which they responded....
"We certainly do NOT attend that hateful church and we do not believe in your God."
This is when I gave Luke a proper slap across the face. How could he....
HOW COULD HE!!!! I have failed as a father for not properly educating my son in all things biblical. Since God did not smite him, I can only assume He let it slide. This time.
The Bible is clear, we do not help those who can not help themselves spiritually. If you do, you risk the Lord's wrath, as the scripture states:
Quote:
2 Chronicles 19:2
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord

Luke should've asked this question
BEFORE he showed them True Christian™ love and kindness. I don't know what the hell he was thinking. If he would have known they were haters of God, he should have left them right there on that isolated back road. I mean, for all I know Luke directly intervened in God's plan to smite these vile wretches to die horribly from hypothermia.
Oh Lord, forgive us our shortcomings in following your Word.
