Right you are Lola. Even if France did want to protect us, what could they do? Surrender? Fortunately most Canadians aren't as profoundly stunned as Pierre here is. And our leaders certainly aren't. The combined allied forces did not invade Germany until late 1944.
The UN was not established until many years later.
The UN charter does not have an army,its forces are comprised of the member nations military.
