Wall across the Sahara -
09-20-2018, 05:02 AM
As usual, leave it to Donald Trump to come up with all the good ideas. Your welcome Spain - that one's for free. Call me when your done, I've got more where that came from.
Quote:
Trump suggested the Spanish government [should tackle immigration by] building a wall across the Sahara desert, the country’s foreign minister has revealed.
According to Josep Borrell, the US president brushed off the scepticism of Spanish diplomats – who pointed out that the Sahara stretched for 3,000 miles – saying: “The Sahara border can’t be bigger than our border with Mexico.”
Trump wooed voters in the 2016 election with his promise to build a "big, beautiful wall across the US/Mexico border", which is roughly 2,000 miles long.
A similar plan in the Sahara, however, would be complicated by the fact that ... [the] wall would have to be built on foreign territory.

Oh my goodness Dr Toole, for a moment there I mis-read and thought you were planning some sort of fundraising WALK across the desert.
That's a cracker of an idea, though - the wall I mean, not the walk. It's just a shame that Spain's socialist foreign minister lacks the American "Can Do!" attitude, but what can you expect of someone (a Catalan at that, so not even a proper Spaniard) who used to be president of the Euroweenie Parliament?
I'd like to hear more of President Trump's proposal. Whereabouts in the Sahara was he planning to put the wall? I mean, was he thinking up at the top near the Mediterranean (where you'd only be dealing with five or so countries), in the middle (where you'd mainly be dealing with sand and camels), or at the bottom where it would go through eight to ten countries? I think only the last one would work, otherwise you'd end up with a bunch of people living north of the wall, which would defeat the object of the exercise.
With Jesus's help, it can be done. Philippians 4:13.

I'm not sure we can trust the words of a Spanish foreign minister and his diplomats - the fake news MSM is constantly attacking and mocking Trump. One thing you can say in favor of the Spanish is that they had the common sense to expel all the mooselimbs from their country in 1609. I seriously doubt that they have the fortitude to do this today due to the pussification of most of the EU.
If the Spanish can't build a wall across the Sahara, the chinks certainly can (and so could the Romans). The Great Wall of China has been estimated to be between 5,500 and 13,170 miles (depending on who you ask).
https://www.chinahighlights.com/grea...all-length.htm
The chinks might be looking for work soon due to The Donald's tariffs, the Spanish might be able to subcontract it out at a good price.

On second thoughts, did I get that back to front? The wall needs to be right along the TOP and all round the sides, doesn't it - along the coast? So all the Saharanians will be on the other side of it. If they want to go down to the bottom and try to sail to Europe from there in their inflatable dinghies, good luck to them.
That would mean a slightly longer wall, of course - maybe about 50% longer? But it should be cheap to build, especially if they use local materials (desert sand and exhaled air) to make those CO2 sand bricks that are two and a half times stronger than concrete.

The America/Britain(incl. Canada NewZealand Australia Antarctica + asst'd islands)/Germany/Japan alliance seems to be kicking off if Merkel can just decide which German states are handed over to the muslims then get in cahoots with manufacturers and controllers of resources. Nuclear powered electrification of the Mediterranean would be too easy. But reading between the lines here, maybe the Leader of The Free World is waiting for something actually difficult?
So far it's a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Wouldn't there be a danger of the electricity leaking out through the Strait of Gibraltar into the Atlantic, though? Maybe that's why they haven't done it.

According to my friend the Atlantic has greater capacitance than the the Med. Actually it's a relative. I was lost at S.W.E.R. gobbledygook but smiled and poured another glass of absinthe, which I don't normally drink, and am posting on my way home. Why do these electrical nuts think they understand everything so much better when I don't even understand it myself? But I'm always happy to ask questions and that's what I got so far.

Electricity is much more simple than they want you to think. The "electricity" is a type of metal that passes along thin plastic cables between the wall socket and your computer. When you turn the "electricity" on, it liquifies the metal into electricity which flows to your computer. The computer burns the liquid (like gasoline) and creates energy - that's how it works, duh! When you turn the "electricity" off it solidifies back into metal.

I'm not a science-y woman either, Praise The Lord, so I had to look that up: "the ability of a system to store an electric charge". So does that mean the Atlantic is more like a battery? Would that make any leakage from the Mediterranean into the Atlantic more dangerous, or less so? I am not asking you personally, Sister, obviously. Just trying to get it straight in my own mind.

Thank you, Dr Toole. This explains why my late step-grandmother-in-law Dorothy - affectionately referred to by her fellow Christians as "Mrs Hun" - believed that wall sockets should be switched off when not in use, for fear of spillage. She insisted on this even if there was a plug in the socket, or if you just got up from watching the TV to answer the phone. My husband and I had always assumed it was because she was " eccentric" (to use the polite term), but it seems that she may have based her actions on sound scientific principles.

I vaguely recall that there was some controversy over a century ago about some sort of "AC/DC" stuff - wherein Mr. Edison was in favor of "DC" (where electrical currents would predictably flow in one direction only), and Mr. Tesla was an advocate of "AC" where electrical currents would periodically change and flow in opposite direction - much like women who change their minds all the time. This should put to rest once and for all the notion of the feminazis about "patriarchy", "mansplaining", and "toxic masculinity" - these notions were coming from a man, Mr. Tesla.
At some point it was decided that "AC" was better and now we're stuck with it - which might explain all this "bi" and "transgender" stuff going on.
The only thing remaining today are pictures of Mr. Tesla and his "Tesla Coil" surrounded by giant lightning bolts leaping from his head as he attempted to send power through the air. I'm wondering if a border wall of lightning bolts might deter someone from crossing them.

There is an ironic twist to it: we all know spanish people are too lazy to build a wall, and as they don't have enough supply of mexicans to do the dirty work, they would have to hire some of the mooselimbs in North Africa.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Too bad they don't have a strong-willed, confident leader unafraid of criticism, conventional facts, or even common sense like we have in the US of A, who could not only inspire the Arabs to build the wall, but to pay for it too! Glory!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

What about the Chinese? They want to buy Africa for some reason and this could be a way for them to turn around the trade imbalance. Unless they get paid in goulimine beads. Do they have hippies in China yet?

Donald Trump could do it for half the price. Isn't there a lot of sand in the Sahara Desert? At least that part's free.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Thanks for bringing me up to date. All that's needed then is a method for rapid production of vitrified walls?

It's hot there, too. Maybe the sun can melt all that sand.
