Why must one hate Jesus to believe in science? In my eyes, science is helping us learn more about God's creations. To tell me that proof is foolish is foolish on its own.

The initial question was me asking how watching a video of the Curiosity Rover landing on the Mars surface was any less creditable than what you read in the Bible. The only things I've heard in response were people going off irrelevant tangents.

Friend, there are countless accounts by eyewitnesses regarding Jesus. There is not a single eye witness regarding 'cars on Mars'.

People still think the Earth is flat? Has anybody here flown in an airplane before? You can see the curved shapes of the planet out the window. Look at the videos of normal people sending their cameras into the stratosphere with balloons. Round. Has nobody here traveled across the world?

I find it hard to believe as well that they can deny what is common facts in today's world. I have been on several flights and each time, I always prefer the window seat. The world is indeed round. I have some difficulties seeing why some ignore the obvious. Putting religion off to the side, science is based off of facts that anyone with the know how and tools can recreate or observe and does not actually require one to have faith in it for it to be true. Faith and religion can provide an answer of sorts to what is unknown however once something has been proven with scientific fact, something anyone can do (with the knowledge and tools needed), then we must accept the truth and move on.

I have a good friend who flies 747's. I asked him if he has to keep aiming down to follow 'the curve of the Earth'? He said no, he flies level. So the Earth must be flat. He would have a better knowledge than some guy licking the window at the back,

This can be explained by one simple thing: The moon is not flat. Not by a long shot. That is the reason the shadows appear to be the result of multiple light sources. Or maybe god just hates astronauts. I don't know.
Another one, the shadow shows the "Sun" is behind, yet the front the suit is clearly highlighted by a light source:
