Dear Forum members of God's Only Forum:

I would like to post a friendly reminder concerning the oldest apostasy in the book:
Philosophy.

While this word sounds benign (as in "love of wisdom") it is far from it.

Allow us to quote scripture on this ancient heresy:
Quote:
16Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. 17Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. 18Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. 19And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is? 20For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean. 21(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
22Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

So basically you have the kernal of untruth coming from these superstitious Greek homos, which is clearly recognizable in modern heresy's such as the so-called "science" of the seculars.

Modern day superstitions which stem from this ancient heresy are "evolution" the idea that we all are fish inside, and "the Socratic method" which alledgely gives a right to question Revealed Divine Truth.

The Socratic Method is satanic, and homosexual (Greek) in nature.

Scripture does not condone this method and its offshoots.
Quote:
Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; Romans 3:19

"O that you would be completely silent, And that it would become your wisdom! Job 13:5

He who despises his neighbor lacks sense, But a man of understanding keeps silent. Proverbs 11:12
As evidence of this fact, note that scientific jargon all stems from the Greek language; NOT Hebrew or Aramaic....

Wisdom = keeping silent. Superstition = blabbering on about hypothetical nonsense not found in Scripture.

Amen.
