Why is it like saying that? Because you cant understand it? It confuses you?
Can you back your scripture up with an extract from 'The Gruffalo'?
Scripture means nothing. A book being used by itself as evidence for something proves that said thing does not exist.
On the other hand there is unquestionable evidence for the existence of a star or a meteorite. Simply look up to the sky at broad day light.
That giant ass light in the sky?
Yep. It's a star.
Or look up to the sky during a meteorite shower. Or 'shooting stars' as you guys like to call them. For some reason some of you take that nickname literally and make the ridiculous claim that they are stars that 'fell' out of the sky.

Lost Sheep I am very relieved to hear from you. You haven't been around for a few weeks and I was worried that maybe you didn't get the hard hat warning. A star falling on your head is potentially lethal.

We make no such claim. God does. We accept His explanation. YOU are the one refusing to look at the evidence.
The Bible tells us:
MARK 13
[Jesus speaking]
23 But take ye heed: behold, I haue foretold you all things.
24 But in those dayes, after that tribulation, the Sunne shalbe darkned, and the Moone shall not giue her light.
25 And the Starres of heauen shall fall, and the powers that are in heauen shall be shaken.
26 And then shal they see the Sonne of man comming in the cloudes, with great power and glory.

DANIEL 8
10 And it waxed great euen to the hoste of heauen, and it cast downe some of the hoste, and of the starres to the ground, and stamped vpon them.

REVELATION 6
[note the use of past-simple tense: this is an historical account of a future event]
13 And the starres of heauen fell vnto the earth, euen as a figge tree casteth her vntimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty winde.
14 And the heauen departed as a scrowle when it is rolled together, and euery mountaine and Island were moued out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chiefe captaines, and the mighty men, and euery bondman, and euery free man, hid themselues in the dennes, and in the rockes of the mountaines,
16 And said to the mountaines and rockes, Fall on vs, and hide vs from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lambe:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?

Your motivation comes from Satan, not in itself enough to get your 100% irrevocable place in HELL because you could have repented
I John 1:9 and formed a personal relationship with God. But calling God "ridiculous" and denying the veracity of His Holy Spirit when inspiring Mark, Daniel and John is blasphemy of a different magnitude.
MATTHEW 12
31 Wherefore I say vnto you, All maner of sinne and blasphemie shall be forgiuen vnto men: but the blasphemie against the holy Ghost, shall not bee forgiuen vnto men.
32 And whosoeuer speaketh a word against the sonne of man, it shall be forgiuen him: but whosoeuer speaketh against the holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiuen him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Why is this atheist throwing around claims that the sun is billions of times larger than the Earth? Does he not realise that this would make it of the order of ten million million kilometres in diameter according to heretical scientists' so-called calculations of the size of the Earth.
How can we take anything it rants seriously after claims like that where it clearly doesn't understand simple numbers or the science it champions.
No wonder it's confused as it lashes about trying to hate the majestic wisdom of scripture rather than just going and doing some work for Jesus.

WATCH OUT TONIGHT! Some more stars are falling. Movement in the waters above the firmament are detaching stars from the constellation of Leo. I just saw on of the blighters streak across the sky, naturally I dived to the floor and it missed me.
Just beware! It is an interesting thing to watch but remember a hard hat is recommended.

These stars cool off quite a lot when they fall down and give a good indication of how big stars really are.
Here they are obviously still quite hot:
but this one has gone out completely:
It's fairly small and a bit damaged from hitting the ground.
This one's quite large:
and this one must have been absolutely enormous like the size of Sirius or something!
Photographed from an ćroplane
Altogether they must weigh an awful lot and the sky must be very strong to hold them all up! Have the creation scientists ever estimated the weight of all those stars?
JOB 37
16 Doest thou know the ballancings of the clouds, the wondrous workes of him which is perfect in knowledge?
17 How thy garments are warme, when hee quieteth the earth by the South wind?
18 Hast thou with him spread out the skie, which is strong, and as a molten looking glasse?

That's a very good question Mitza, especially for a woman. The Bible does not directly give us the weight of stars. The firmament I believe is around 500 miles above us and holds the stars, the planets and the Sun. From this vast distance we can see that a falling star could create quite a large impact crater.
The Bible does not tell us either the number of the stars. It is clear that they are not evenly spread out across the sky. I live in a large town in England and above us there are maybe twenty stars. However I have visited desert areas in the Holy Land and above them they have literally HUNDREDS of stars.
If we guessed at say one thousand stars with an average weight of a quarter of a ton (this allows for the really big ones) then that is a totally of 250 tons. This sounds like a lot but we must remember that the firmament held up most of the weight of the flood water (some came up from the fountains of the deep) so it is incredibly strong and it also supports the weight of the Sun and planets. Maybe that is another calculation to do another time, I don't know at this moment the density of coal but I will find out.

Do you think that God places more stars in firmament when some of them has fallen off and could it be possible that these new stars are not as bright as the old stars?
I know that this might sound bit far fetched, but let me address both points bit more in detail. Even if there are thousands of stars in the firmament, we have to remember that universe is very very old. So if we assume that stars have been falling down to earth since the creation of universe some 6000 years ago, amount of fallen stars in total is huge. If about 10 stars falls down each year, there would have been 60 000 stars fallen so far. I think that kind of number of stars missing would be visible even in the desert ares in Holy Land. Maybe not all stars are bright for some reason yet, then.
If we look at these pictures of fallen stars we notice one distinct feature, or more specific, lack of feature. They do not shine light. So maybe they are young start that has not lit up yet, or there could be another explanation as well. Maybe starts are not not luminescent at all, but they just reflect light and maybe it takes lot of time before they are shiny enough for it. After all, stars comes out only at nights when we turn our street lights and such on, on earth. Stars could reflect those lights we use down here on earth and amplify the reflections among the other stars. I guess some light from the sun and moon could be reflected back at stars from calm surfaces of lakes and oceans as well.

It is difficult for me to internalise this latest information. The stars are so easy to see - and yet when in hand they are cold and dark. God explains that we are as grasshoppers in His sight but I would not suggest that a perspective calculation would reveal the altitude of God because His eyes may well be more akin to the eagle's than to ours. Telephoto.
But surely the stars were glowing when they fell to earth? Otherwise we couldn't see them.
I know that in English cities one's vision is impaired but in the horror of darkness [Staffordshire] quite a few stars are visible; The Bible tells me that light comes from cloud and so perhaps the stars do reflect His glory.

Psalm 8:9
