I'm Amanda.
I go the the people in the world who are Christian, and fellowship with them, but I don't do this in a building. I'm currently looking for a new BUILDING to attend, but I have not found one full of people who can teach me more than I already know, or are not just repeatedly teaching the good news to the same congregation, when they have already heard it.
My favorite Bible verses are:
Eph 2:1-8 "And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."
I also like all of Romans.
I came to Christ because my husband showed me Matthew, and after I learned about what happened to Jesus, I believed. A lot has happened leading up to that point, and I've done a lot of terrible things, but I am not the person I was.
Why does it say I'm "unsaved trash"? That's not very nice.

Hello Amanda and to our forum!
Thank you for your lovely introduction! Regarding the "unsaved trash" label, unfortunately, most people who register here are atheists who want to mock us, which is why this is the default assumption. Your label will be changed accordingly after we get a chance to get to know you better!

Sister Amanda,
Just like a woman to tell us all about herself. I mean, you were expected to tell us what church you go to, your favorite verse, and how you found the LORD as Savior, but then we want to know about your husband. Did he give you permission to register here? How many sons do you have? Is your husband a carpenter, a gunsmith, a farmer, or a hunter?
You seem a little arrogant about going to church. The Lord tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together so that we might gain knowledge of Him and help our brethren with prayers, etc. I would curb that pride, woman - JESUS is the reason for church, not YOU.
May Christ curb your tongue and lead you in the ways of proper womanhood. Might I suggest you take some lessons from the fine women of Landover Baptist - the True Christian™ women who will sit at the right hand of our precious JESUS?
BrotherLarry
Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”
Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen

I'm sorry - I only take orders from my husband - not strange men on the internet.
Eph 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Romans 3:27 "Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law."

That is very wise of you, my dear. However, there were some polite questions in Brother Larry's post. We all understand if you missed them at first (let's just attribute them to your feminine nature rather than his verbosity), but answering them would be the polite thing to do.

Mrs. Byington,
I have removed you from my Blackberry prayer list. This means your name will not be heard at the throne of grace on a regular basis. I've asked the DOF to provide me with your husband's contact details and I shall inform him that your Interwebs etiquette is in need of an overhaul. As a True Christian™ male, I am far more than a strange man.
If you were to put that question to the people here, they would tell you I am MUCH more than strange. You see, the LORD GOD speaks to me and guides my every footstep. That's far from strange. I question your personal walk with Jesus and will leave you to the weaker gender to flounder in search of spiritual teaching.
Dusting off my feet as I walk toward the throne of GOD,
BrotherLarry

Why, Brother Larry is the kindest, most generous, ̶h̶a̶n̶d̶s̶o̶m̶e̶s̶t, straightest, and nicest on this forum! I've seen him offer to take young men under his wing in order to raise them up for the Lord! I would dearly love for him to take my five sons to train, but I understand he is a busy man. Still, I sincerely doubt you'll find any other Christian man as Godly as he.
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
