Re: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Fake Illness and a Lame Excuse for Laziness -

Very insightful findings there, brother.
In Christian Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), we fight the evils of psychiatry, including people who use psychiatry as an excuse to chew pills and not work.
Most so called psychiatric excuses to not work simply boils down to this: "Being too f**king lazy or unable to drive and then complaining about how they can't go anywhere. Also expecting their friends (if they can get any) or family members to drive them f**king everywhere!"
Another excuse that we are truly offended by is fibromyalgia (also known as fatsomyalgia). People with fibromyalgia are often emotionally bound to the disease, and loves their clumsiness, fat, ache and abscesses more than they love Jesus. If someone offer them even secular methods to cure it like methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), start running, cutting down on sugarcoating and going the the gym, they refuse because they are so bound the the disease. Instead, they will usually whine (which is the only thing they are good on) on so called "fat shaming".
Emotional binding to a disease is actually a type of demon possession.
Contrary to what social justice warriors believe, intellectual and physical defects are not something to be proud of, and they need to accept Jesus Christ to get rid of their demons.
And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

If ME was an excuse for not working, don't you think God would have put that in the Bible? Read the verses on laziness and hard work again. They don't make any exceptions for ME.
Quote:
I have a faith rooted in Christianity with branches that encompass other faiths drawing from then the best. I know ME is real because I have a daughter with it and have seen her pain, I only wish I could take upon myself for her, I have seen others in physical pain in the real world, that is how I know it is real,
|
There are no good things in other religions to draw from. I think you've essentially invented your own religion, simply taking the bits you like best from other religions without even caring about whether any of it is true, as long as it makes you happy. True Christianity™ is all about following the Bible, even the bits you don't like, no matter the cost to yourself or your loved ones.
Lk 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
There are parts of the Bible I don't like, but I know it's true because it says so (Jn 17:17b), so I just do what it says.
Quote:
as for why God hasn't healed her, he hasn't told me, feel free to ask him on my behalf.
|
God doesn't hear the prayers of sinners.
Quote:
I am a believer in my own way and as yet God appears to have found nothing wrong with it, in fact some of my experiences seem to suggest he is with me.
|
So you interpret all the good things that happen as a sign of God's favour yet ignore all the bad things (such as having a daughter with ME) as being a sign of His displeasure. I bet the followers of every false religion do that to deceive themselves.

He is exactly that type of God.
Ex 20:3-5
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
| Mt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

I was once told this story:
A black man wanted to go join a white mans church (can't think why) so he went to the Pastor and asked. The Pastor somewhat reluctant to accept a Black man sneeringly suggested he go and ask God if it was right he should join the White mans church.
A week passed and the Pastor saw nothing of the Black man, the following day he sw him and sneeringly asked "well did you ask God if it was right for you to come into my church?". The Black man said "Ah sho' did and he say don't bother, cos' he been tryin' to get in fo' years".
An old boy scout camp fire tale, be interesting to see others take on it.

Mind sharing where in the Holy Bible you find support for such a crazy idea?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Don't be silly! That's not referring to True Christians™, but people who pretend to be teaching the Truth™ just for personal gain. You know, like Oprah and churches that have rainbow flags up in their foyers.
Jesus loves us because we show our love through unconditional obedience, exactly as He says (John 14:15).

Then obey this:
Matthew 7:1-3King James Version (KJV)
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

You're being reactionary again. I will be judged in the same vein I judge. That's what that verse says. I will be judged with Righteousness, which incidentally, is exactly how True Christians™ judge (John 7:24). See? It's all good, dear!
Besides, we here at Landover Baptist Church are Guaranteed Salvation, therefore, we have no more beams. Once we've been bought by the Blood of Christ, True Christians™ are Perfect!
Say, why don't you join us and find out what the Bible actually says! With Real Faith, you'll no doubt give up your lazy ways and serve Christ in such a way that will guarantee you a spot in Heaven!

You mean you actually think that you are all perfect in that church? Just as perfect as God? It's funny that when you use the word of God you call it righteous, but when someone presents the word of God to you, you call it reactionary.

You're confused, dear. Follow the link. It leads you right to our dear Pastor's Sermon, aptly entitled, True Christians are Perfect! You'll see *we* don't claim to be Perfect, JESUS does!!!
You wouldn't call Jesus a big, fat, liar, would you?!?

Besides, none of you seem to know the definition of laziness. Laziness means you are not willing. With chronic fatigue, you are so willing, but sometimes it takes as much as 10 times the effort to perform tasks than an actual lazy person who doesn't suffer from chronic fatigue. By the way, did you read the link I left about scientific proof regarding chronic fatigue? I figured you would since you claim not be lazy.

No, what she's calling reactionary is when you don't understand the Scripture you're quoting:
Quote:
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
|
I've bolded the pertinent bit, when Jesus clarifies that it's not judgement that He's condemning, but hypocritical judgement.

She probably won't read it, but it's not laziness, it's wilful ignorance holiness.

As a small businessman, I can tell you one of my biggest expenses is LAZY EMPLOYEES TRYING TO DODGE AN HONEST DAY'S WORK. And there is no bigger excuse than "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome," the official-sounding "Medicalese" name for "I feel like sitting on my ass today and collecting a paycheck as some kind of God-given right for being a lazy waste of space." Lazy sick days are like the scourge of so-called "Unemployment Insurance"-- a lavish, prepaid vacation for freeloaders. Claiming a medical reason is just another way to get government involved in the sacred contract between an employee and the employer. And Big, Intrusive Government (BIG) does not solve anyone's problems; it merely subsidizes them.
Ever notice that people who claim to be afflicted with "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" are also fat and ugly? That's because losers who never gained the admiration or attraction of others (not to mention the grace of a loving yet vengeful and smiting God) will always come up with an EXCUSE for their horrible physcial and character disfigurement.
DISGUSTING!!
