Now I'm really confused. Who said that we thought birthday was a holy day?
We just celebrate it as a birthday. Not as a holy day.

It is bizarre that you would consider observing someone's birthday as Satanic! Quite simply, there's nothing pagan or satanic about it. I'm afraid dear boy, that you are brainwashed!

The only birthday we treat as a Holy day is Jesus Christ's birthday.

AMEN!
And I am not ashamed to sing Happy Birthday to my Lord and Savior on His Special Day!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

This isn't a big secret, you may want to research what wiccans, new agers etc. practice. Blow a candle + make a wish - that's a perfect example of candle magic. The Bible has something to say about latter day deception, that's when you are deceived into doing something ignorantly rather than knowingly. (If you practice birthdays but no birthday wishes it's a step in the right directly I would say)

Where does it say in the Bible that blowing a candle has anything to do with witches? I thought not. I have no interest in witches or heathen practices. It appears you do

Oh, sweetie, I have a secret to tell you: wicca and new age are made up. Like, recently. That means, that blowing the candle+wish custom existed at least a couple of centuries before wiccans and new age freaks appropriated it for their "religion." I'm sorry, but I don't accept wicca as a "real" pagan sorcery (whatever that "real sorcery" might be).

I never claimed that candle magic is a recent practice, you are obviously in the process of making stuff up as you go to protect your deeply rooted pagan worship practices. This is so sad, God didn't withhold his only son for our sake and we still won't worship him... I don't know what else he can do

Shooting the messenger doesn't get you any closer to the truth brother. Try to focus on the Bible. There is an eternal life at the end of the tunnel, if you keep the word and have faith

Kid, you think that birthday candles summon demons and that the John the Apostle is a sorcerer...I hardly need advice from a wacko like you.

Sweetie, I see that God has given you very limited reasoning skills, so I'll try to write slowly, so maybe you can understand easier:
Wicca was invented in the second half of the 20th century.
Candles on birthday cakes go back to the 18th century or so.
Wicca makes stuff up and takes innocent behaviors and claims them to be magical.
The fact that wicca appropriated an innocent custom and claims it to be "magical" or whatever does not mean anything, because wicca is just a money making operation, a scam taking advantage of dumb people.

Sweetie, I wish that you stopped obsessing about candles (I mean, what do you think the people used to lighten up spaces before electricity was invented?), sit down quietly and read the Bible.
I will pray for your poor, confused, obsessed soul.

You are so kind, Sister! I am still working on perfection and am sadly a flawed woman, and I don't think I would have the Christian, womanly patience you have. Maybe after bearing three sons, hopefully.
"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." Proverbs 14:1
