WHY DO PEOPLE STAMMER / STUTTER ?? -

Friends,
I was asked this question by a child in my Bible Study Youth Group just the other day - Why do some children stutter / stammer? Is it because they're gay? Or effeminite? Or is it due to some sort of mental retardation? Or Demonic Possession?
When I questioned him more about his choice of question, it turns out there's a kid in his highschool with a stutter / stammer, who apparently everyone picks on. He wanted to know if it was ok for him to bully him too.
Now, I don't know much about people who suffer from stuttering retardations, so I decided to look it up online. That's when I found THIS....

During the time of my life when I had a stutter, I found it difficult to meet new people.
I would in fact shy away from such a thing and would rarely put myself into a position where I was likely to meet anybody new.
For some reason I would stutter more when talking to people I did not know.
Once I had got to know the particular person my fluency levels would normally improve but still not to a level that I was happy with.
On occasions, people would notice that I had a stutter and would attempt to take an interest in the subject. Other people would also notice, it is of course impossible not to, but they would carry on as if I had spoken fluently. On the rare occasions where people took an interest, I would be asked certain questions such as:
"Why do people stutter?"
"How did your stutter start?"
"Have you had the stutter ever since you were born?"
"Is stuttering some kind of nervous condition?"
"Is there a cure for stuttering?"
Some might say that I should have been happy that people were taking an interest in my speech impediment.
The problem was that I used to find it hard to answer questions without stuttering, I also was somebody who actually did not like talking (for obvious reasons), and I also did not know the all of the answers to the questions that I was being asked.
I was a very quiet person, I liked to keep myself to myself.

Stuttering when talking to girls? Stammering when talking to people in Authority? ... I don't know what this all sounds to you, but to me this guy sounds like a complete homo!
Not only that, but he refers to his stutter as a 'speech-IMPEDIMENT'. ie. Some sort of retardation that's cause by your brain not working properly. We also know there are many Demons out there who can cause many of these mental illnesses.
Has anyone else on here had to deal with a person with a stutter? How did you deal with it? And what does the Bible say on this matter?

My first logical guess would be a demon.
It's possible this is a sign of homosexuality, as the practice of same-sex attractions is known to cause lisping, it might as well cause stuttering as well.
I'd say that enrollment in BASH and a Baptist Exorcism Program are the best bets for curing stuttering!

Indeed, Brother. I have NEVER met anyone at Church, nor in any of our Church youth activities, who has any sort of speech retardation. I guess that speaks volumes.
In fact, I've never heard of a Christian with a stutter before. Perhaps if these people sat down and actually read the Holy Bible, and accepted Jesus into their hearts, they wouldn't have these sorts of problems.

The Biblical way of dealing with people with speech impediments is perfectly clear:
Judges 12:4 Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.

It is clearly understood by reading Isaiah 32:1-4, that stammerers (stutterers) are the worst kind of sinners. For in this passage it is evident that it will take the return of Our Lord before stutterers can be saved. What kind of sin did these stammerers commit that faith in Jesus cannot save them? Perhaps it does give credence that an evil spirit possesses stutterers and it will take the return of Our Lord to vanquish this demon of false tongues.
Isaiah 32:1-4 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
Matthew 5:17-18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

The only thing im saying is that ive read so many things here about how god hates people who are diffrent. Goths are not bad i know plenty of gothic christians. Two of which are close friends. i also know a homosexual as you call them. hes a really nice guy but if he likes other guys thats his choice and hell have to deal with god later in life(or after life). You've also said that rock music is satanic. i dont follow what they say but im a drummer and i respect and enjoy listening to them. does that mean im gonna go to hell? because i listen to rock music? ive never hurt myself or anybody else and i dont plan to. ive accepted jesus into my life and i love and pray to god every night but some things on this website are taken WAY to far.  srry i just love ninjas lol.

Look, the Bible says we are not supposed to be yoked to unbelievers. That means you are NOT allowed to be friends with sinners. Try to convert them, if they refuse, cut all ties to them! Wipe the dust off your sandals and don't look back! Remember Lot's wife.
Second, I do not believe for a second that God is the number one priority in your life. You spend all your time worrying about what we think about your devilish songs, but you don't even bother to capitalize the name of the Sovereign Lord of the Universe!

Do you know what the Bible says about people who have queers as their "friend?" Homers (those "without natural affection") and their supporters (those "that have pleasure in them") are "worthy of death."

piffle you all!!! I am so piffleing happy i found this website. Ive been wasting my life for a god that doesnt deserve followers. you people have opened my eyes to wat a horrible being god is. And i will have fun in hell i'll be partying with Satan while all of you waste your lifes believing god will save you when from wat you all told me god hates something in everyone and no matter how pure you think you are YOU ALWAYS DO SOMETHING WRONG. THATS HUMAN NATURE.

Christians don't do anything wrong. We obey God's Law because He loved us enough to make a big show of temporarily dying in order to allow Himself to change His covenant with us, and will torture us forever if we don't accept His gift of unconditional Love.

Also hes my friend and even if hes gay ive been his friend since we were 10 and im not losing a very good friend just because im straight and hes gay and "God" says thats wrong. So piffle Christianity!
