Archbishop of Canterbury admits he has doubts about God. -
09-23-2014, 01:44 AM
In case you wondered whether the Angler-can't, Catholic-lite "church" is Christian, this should remove all doubt.
From the same media outfit that gave us that depraved show Torchwood:
Quote:
Archbishop of Canterbury admits he has doubts about God
Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has said he sometimes has doubts in his belief in God.
In an interview with BBC Bristol the leader of the Church of England said he doubted in "lots of different ways".
He said: "There are moments, sure, when you think, 'Is there a God?' 'Where is God?'"
* * *
"The other day I was praying over something as I was running, and I ended up saying to God 'look this is all very well, but isn't it about time you did something, if you're there?'
* * *
He went on to explain that it was acceptable to occasionally have doubt, and still be a Christian.
|
Actually, no, it isn't:
[James 1:5-8 KJV] 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways.
That is, God demands faith without wavering, or He won't give you anything. Perhaps the made-up god who exists only in the imaginations of the leadership of that "church" would do things differently if he existed, but the real God has different ideas.
Quote:
A spokesman for Lambeth Palace said: "The remarks were made in the context of an event at Bristol Cathedral during which the archbishop spoke extensively about why he believes in God and how his faith in Jesus Christ has transformed his life.
"The comments in question were made in response to a specific question about whether he had ever struggled with doubts."

Yeah, sure, nice backpedaling there.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. Typical false Christian insanity. They want to claim that the Holy Word of God is just a book of suggestions, and that it's perfectly fine to be a crippled-up atheist queer and still call yourself a Christian.
I for one can't wait for the day that Jesus gets His loving hands on these maggots. I dream about it sometimes.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

I defer to our Pastors on matters of LBC theology, but isn't doubt like the Archbishop's an unpardonable sin?
If so, there is a spot in the fire of hell for him.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Coming from the "Church" of "England", this is actually a tremendously positive development. If a convinced God-mocker like Justin Welby is starting to doubt his Satanic views, then that means there's space for Jesus to potentially enter into his heart. We'll make a Christian of this fellow yet, mark my words!
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I have met the Arch-Bishop on several occasions and, despite him representing a break-away cult, he is a decent fellow who cares for his flock and daily seeks guidance from Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
That he admits to doubts suggests in no small way that by taking up with any Church other than the one Jesus built on the rock of St. Peter, he was bound to be lacking in critical areas of faith and Biblical understanding. This has manifested itself in such a way that he indeed risks eternal damnation and the full wrath of The Lord.
Should he come to his senses, we would welcome him to the Church of Rome, arrange for his sins to be forgiven through the blessed Sacrament of Confession and set him properly down the path to salvation or at least direct him to an excellent transit station along the way.
His story should serve as a stern reminder to other splinter groups, like the tractor and t-shirt punters here, who choose to disabuse themselves of Christ's teachings. There has never been a better time to join The Catholic Church and save your soul in addition to enriching your remaining time on this delicate, mortal coil.
Bless you, my fabaceous fissilinguals,
Father Mo
.
A Cardinal in the making.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Trading one cult for another is hardly "coming to your senses." It's more like "going to Hell in a handbasket."

I do appreciate that you finally admit the two are practically indistinguishable.

The Archbish's father was a German joo who changed his name from Weiler, so he's used to changing horses and it wouldn't surprise me if he took one step further down the road to perdition. It would probably be a very positive thing for the Church of England if he did go, as they could hardly find anyone worse to replace him.

What difference does it make if an unsaved wretch, who obviously does not know God and has no relationship with Jesus, says that he has doubts about God? This man is a godless Englishman who worships statues like a Roman and has no standing as a Christian. The BBC and the English think this is big news.
The saved know Jesus and have no doubts. The unsaved do not know Jesus, have no path to salvation and thus live in chaos. What could they possibly be sure of?
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11
