I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, place where I still reside nowadays.

I've always been an active part of my local church until, a few weeks ago, it was mistakenly demolished by a company that seeks to build a popular coffee store in my neighbourhood.
Imagine the rest if you will; long story short, I am helping rebuild it.

In these churchless times I feel in need of help, I sometimes feel Satan trying to tempt me brothers, but more of that will be said later, I need to head back to the construction site for a few more hours this fine Saturday morning.

Regarding my name. As you know, Damien was the name used in the movie "The Omen" back in 1976, only reason for its bad connotations in some places - Buenos Aires is not one of them, don't worry -.
Sadly, my parents found out about this movie when I was already born and baptised.
I assure you though, I carry no unholy numbers marked in the back of my head.

Yes many a good name has been ruined by the liebrals. How many Ronald McDonalds (A good Scottish name) have been born since the early 70's. Not many unless their parents hated them.

I would like a Pastors viewpoint on "The Omen". Is this scriptural based? I have always had a fascination for Bible based movies, and used to watch them on a regular basis before I was married and had children. One site I found (I can't find it again, sorry) actually said that "The Omen" was closer to scriptural truth than the "Left Behind" movies.

I know that the Friday the 13th franchise has been approved for Christian viewing. I would like to find out about the Omen.

Damien, as you know, the Lord changed the names of those He called to His service more than once.

Abraham and Sarah had different names before, and Saul became Paul at God's instruction.

It would be no great effort for you to put away your current name in order to more freely represent the Lord Jesus.

Matthew, Mark and John are all excellent choices. They also have the added benefit of sounding so much more American.

I love that you are into movies. I didn't know about the Friday 13th movies! I saw them when I was a little a kid and I must say that until minutes ago, when I saw the post you releaved to me, I felt nothing but guilt. You've evend about 25 years of torment just like that!!

I strongly agree but, nonetheless, I firmly believe that Mr. Charleston still shouldn't have lit on a cigar in the spaceship in Planet of the Apes.
