Hello,

I feel as though we should probably get along, but there are going to be a few hurdles.


1) I didn't vote Republican. I have never voted Republican. This is because of problem 2.
2) I'm British. Therefore I don't get to vote in America ... but if I did, I'd vote for the GoP. I voted Brexit. Does that count?
3) I don't know the bible inside out. I was raised as a lazy Catholic, we mouthed the words at school during hymns and prayers, my parents were disinterested. I was baptised, I didn't make it to confirmation. Depending on how full heaven is, I might be left outside with the Jews and the mud people.


So why am I here? Because in my own nation I find myself not sharing the beliefs and ideologies of my people. I have a government hell bent on making us the soy capital of the world (well, we are watching Canada and trying to keep up). Everyone seems to be either gay, a he-she or a virtue signalling sympathiser to any sexual proclivity a pervert might have. And I'm fed up talking to blue haired vegetarians who identify as [insert made up word]sexual when they really mean that no one wants them.


I'm just looking for a community of people that haven't been drinking water polluted with birth control pills. If that brings me closer to God, that can't be a bad thing.

Like you, I was also subjected to the mind-numbing cultish rituals of the Papist religion, and I never opened a Holy Bible until I became a Christian. Imagine my surprise to have read the Bible and never once find a passage about baptising babies, altar boys, or priests raping children.

Being a Catholic (albeit never a serious practising catholic) I believe that still qualifies me as a Christian. I was also brought up as a Christian. If I have my elbows on the table my father would crack me around the ear and tell me to eat like a Christian. I now have impeccable table manners.


The bible not having anything about baptism is a bit out of left field because it was taught to me as one of the 5 milestones of a Jesus life along with Transfiguration, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension. I'm guessing I read a bastardised version of it. The Baptism of Christ was supposed to be a pretty big deal and along with his crucifixion is one of the few things corroborated by historians.


My first ever bible was called "The Good News bible". It was a fully illustrated and had an inordinate amount of goats in it. I currently have about 5 or 6 bibles from various hotels I have stayed at, but I normally only take them if I don't like the towels.

Mmmm. Well you aren't going to like this answer but I will share anyway.

I have for a long time been a Deist. This is because I am a life long member of the flat earth society. Indeed I was told of this site many years ago when one of your members visited our forums and suggested I create an account here.


To that end my religious knowledge is extensive regarding the works of Ptolemy, the clockwork universe, the unmoved mover and the creation of heaven and earth.


I share the same religion as the founding fathers, the masons and their arch enemies the Illuminati (bankers). I know of Deist markers and I know of the markers of the Illuminati such as 'the middle finger of modernity' ... which is a literal middle finger to the story of creation, a fixed flat earth and a geocentric model of the universe created by God for use by man.


There are many similarities in the beliefs of Deists and those of Christians, and they usually find themselves natural allies. The only differ on matters of Jesus and whether God actually cares about individuals or not.


But I find myself torn. Believing in a God that doesn't care about me doesn't make my heart happy. And I'm now of an age where I would rather be happy than be right. If you believe in something that makes your miserable you got the wrong answer. It doesn't matter what science says ... its still the wrong answer. Every race of man on earth is spiritual, every civilisation ... it is hard wired into us ... and to deny God is to deny your own biology. And so if i am going to choose to believe in God ... I may as well pick the happy loving kind. That is what blind faith is. Ignoring the bits that don't sit right, in order to enjoy the benefits that do.

Know what Christianity is, and what it isn't.

We have an entire subforum which proves you wrong. Basically: Catholics are not Christian because Christianity is a religion which is based on the Bible, while Catholics follow a made-up tradition (mostly of pagan roots) which has nothing to do with the actual contents of the Bible. Just saying you're a Christian does not make you a Christian. Christianity is not like one of them endless terms&conditions agreements, which you just mindlessly scroll through and click "I agree." Christianity is a life-long commitment, and how can you know what you are committing to, if you have never actually read the terms&conditions (the Holy Bible)?

We're Baptists, so we have nothing against baptism, however, the Holy Bible shows that people who want to be Christians need to be baptized as adults who know what they're getting into. Child baptism is not Biblical, and it doesn't count because a child cannot give consent and cannot understand what baptism means.

Well, then you need to look for some other religion, because Christian God is not loving. He is God of war (Exodus 15:3). He is vengeful (Ezekiel 25:17). He creates evil (Isaiah 45:7). He hates people (Psalm 106:40). He is merciless (Isaiah 9:16-17), enjoying the little babies' brains being splashed against rocks (Psalm 137:9).

As others have stated here, Catholicism is NOT Christianity. The Catholics favor tradition along with sacred scripture (sola scriptura is their pet peeve). The problem with that is: Christians follow CHRIST. Who follows Christ? Baptists. Other religions follow Luther, Wesley, the Pope and/or Pavarotti; their pathway leads straight to the burning fires of the Lake of Fire. God Himself told us to "Come out of her," meaning the ridiculously sinful Catholic church. I came out many years ago and it was the best thing that could happen to me. I hid behind a closet of false identity, but now I say it loud and proud: I love Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is my all. He is my everything. Being out is a joy and a blessing.

Thank you for taking the time to crawl out from whichever rock you live under to come to our forum and belittle us and spread lies about us because we dare to stand up for Jesus.
