Any good, Godly movies in theaters? -

My family and I wanted to go to the movies to see a movie. What would you recommend? Anything worth seeing?

Stay home and watch "The Passions of The Christ" again. That one never gets old.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Whenever my sons ask to go to a movie, we throw up a bedsheet, pull out a projector, and watch the Left Behind trilogy. They've probably seen it at least a hundred times by now.
II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

I have recently been watching with my family the old TV series 'Roots'. I seems to me the sympathies of the program maker is misplaced but when it is watched in context with Bible readings it is quite educational for the children. They have learnt about the curse of Cain. Also that slavery isn't wrong in the eyes of God. They also now understand Jesus's specific instruction for beating your slaves,
"And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes." KJV Luke 12:47
If you are going to watch it I will warn you that it is very sad at the end. Abolition is brought in and all the plantation owners have to buy tractors.

Although I have yet to see them, there are some movie titles I find intriguing and will clear my schedule to view them:
Happy Feet Two: I'm hoping this will be a charming little movie showing jigs in their natural surroundings and dancing for their masters.
Hungo: I suspect this will be another coon movie showing law enforcement arresting spades for raping white wom...........oh, wait, the title is "Hugo".......never mind.
Puss in Boots: I think this movie will be a shocking expose of the sex trade and how thoughtful judges such as myself should deliver justice.
30 Minutes or Less: This is most likely a documentary film for Godly Adult Males™ and will show us how to quickly dispense with our male duties and get back to the football game on tv.
J. Edgar: Another documentary dealing with how to identify cross-dressers in our everyday lives.

I don't think theaters are the right place for a Christian family.

Think of a sea sponge: imagine that morphing into a human being.
That is evolution.
Does your husband know you are talking to a man in the interwebs? I think he need to be informed that you have time on your hands, missy.

Naomi dear don't ask silly questions. If your husband had wanted you to know he would have told you.
Have you finished the cleaning and washing today already? Then you should be putting that pie in the oven ready for Mr Portway to come home, he has had a long flight today and won't be happy if his slippers, whisky and pie aren't ready for him just as soon as he gets back.
See you soon

All these movies seem pretty heavy, I myself prefer a good comedy like hotel rwanda or shindler's list. Good clean Christian laughs!

Don't miss this one--everyone in it is Baptist!
Courageous is a 2011 independent Christian drama film produced by Sherwood Pictures and was released to theaters on September 30, 2011. It is the fourth film by Sherwood Pictures, the creators of Flywheel, Facing the Giants, and Fireproof. Filming in Albany, Georgia concluded in June 2010. The film was marketed by Provident Films, which also marketed their previous films.
The film was directed by Alex Kendrick, who co-wrote its screenplay with his brother Stephen Kendrick. Kendrick also stars in the film, along with Ken Bevel, Kevin Downes, and former running-back Tony Stallings. About half of the cast and crew were volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church, while the remainder were brought on through invitation-only auditions.

Wow Roberta
Just reading the plot brought tears to my eyes
I shall have to see that one with Mrs Sole. What an inspiration to end the film with Joshua 24:15.

I got a small contract with the messican government to facilitate a speedier genocide of their own people in the name of the Great America War On Drugs™. All I have to say is WOW, we should rename the "messicans" to "dirty fornicating rabbits". There is still a lot of holy cleansing to be done, but the little brown buggers are so willing to help God bless their little blood thirsty souls.
RE: shindlers list, I know, it's awesome science fiction. I heard at the wrap party for the film all the actors got a bar of soap and a lampshade.

Hunger Games is a pretty good Christian movie if you can over look the stupid libertard Hollywood ended. Basically the poor try to rebel against the good Americans, get their butts kicked and have to send their kids to fight for to death over who gets to eat.
I thought it was pretty inspirational with all those loser killing each other over a loaf of bread.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.
