Oh, you've figured us out! People are such lazy parents that they spend years building machines that could probe into their germ cells and affect their body while undergoing meiosis, causing nondisjunction and an extra chromosome. And then a child "chooses" to keep this extra chromosome so that they wont have to do homework! Now, about being gay. If being gay is a choice, then you must obviously choose to be heterosexual every day.
