A good idea, but still pagan. -
03-01-2007, 08:40 AM
They celebrate Easter different over here. All the men go around and beat the women with willow whips to chase the devil from them. Then they have to give the men some slivovice to drink. Beating the Hell out of women is always a good idea.
Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

You know you have a point there Brother Eliot. I have occasionally noticed that unsaved heathens and cultists have a few isolated customs and practices that seem quite reasonable and even Godly. Other than hating Jesus of course.....
In chinkland for example, the make their squaws (or whatever they call them) walk a few paces behind the men. And not only at Easter!
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

A good idea no matter where you live. Women should know that men are of a higher rank and respect them for it.

The only way to really celebrate Easter is to emulate the Agonies of OurLordJesus™
Here's how they do it in the Philippine Islands:
(Yes, that is a woman having herself Crucified for the 15th time!)
GO, YOU NUTTY FLIPS!!!
Now come on, people, are we going to let ourselves be outdone by a bunch of wogs?!
We meet at Pastor's this Good Friday. Please bring your own tenpenny nails. Slivovitz optional.

I don't know, Sister SUV. They are catlicks, after all, and they obsess with the death of our Lord, often forgetting He has Risen. Perhaps a better, more Baptist, way of emulating Him would be by sleeping in a tomb and walking out on the third day.

You can slice it any way you want, fact is, you guys still stole the 'easter' idea from the Pagan 'Oestara'.
Even the names sound the same for crying out loud....they weren't even making an effort to hide their theft of names and dates.
Wake up and smell the 21st Century!!

Wrong Rachael, it was you pagans who pre-stole Easter from us Christians just to mock Christ's suffering. He died for your sins and this is how you repay him; putting some horribly fertility feast on the day He redeems the world before He does it!
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

What is time to God and things like angels and demons. They exist outside of time as we know it. Clearly the Devil learned about the Resurrection from God when He created The World and moved to mock it.
It is the only logical explanation.

I suppose the Jews were also pagan, when they celebrated their Pesach feast (on which Easter is based).

So will you be attaching one windmill to your back this year or two? And will it be a male or female duck on your head?

Oh, so what explanation do you have for Christ happening to come back from the dead on Easter Miss Smartypants?

Perhaps we should build a replica of Christ's tomb at Freehold just for this purpose. I'm certain it wouldn't count as a graven image.

A BELIEF is not an explanation.
You could believe whatever, but that doesn't make it true.
You could believe the sky is green, but it's blue..
Let's stick to facts here shall we, how do you explain that Jesus came back during easter if He was dead?
This tomb isn't the tomb of Jesus, if Jesus is buried there. (Cause Jesus is alive and not buried, PRAISE!)
As Jesus left His tomb when He was ressurected, the tomb would be totally empty if it was the true one.
These silly atheists have some severe problems when it comes to logic thinking!
If they think that sticking some box into a cave and writing "Jesus" on it, is going to fool God's elect they must be retarded!
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
A foolish woman is clamorous: She is simple, and knoweth nothing.

I agree with Sister Sue, we need to have a crucifixion! I wonder if we might be able to raffle off crucifixions so we might raise money for Pastor Pistle's new opal sink?
