No Easter Egg Hunt in Freehold -
03-25-2016, 03:14 PM
In the Des Moines, IA, metro area I counted 19 places parents can take their little children to "hunt for Easter eggs."
I have banned an Easter egg hunt within the city limits of Freehold. Frankly the entire idea makes me angry. Parents should not teach their children Easter is some kind of play date.
What parents should be telling their little ones is that on Good Friday the Jews killed Jesus. On Sunday, yes it was wonderful Jesus over came death, but children need to be reminded again of what the Jews did to Jesus.
Hunting Easter Eggs does not teach children a thing about revenge against the Jews.

Your timing could not have been more opportune for this teachable moment Mayor.
Revisionist history (mainly done by Jews) try to blame the Romans, but the Jews had a way of conniving to get the Romans to do their dirty work for them. And we can't forget all the good things that the Romans have done for us.
Even today the Jews miss the Messiah by a mile - voting for Obama in overwhelming numbers (Hint: the Messiah is not a nigra).
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

Thank you! Again a very wise and extremely prudent decision by the leaders of our humble congregation. During my extensive travels and even more extensive and exhausting work of Spreading the Gospel I've seen all kinds of Easter eggs in the hands of sinful children. Some have been decent depicting various scenes from the corporeal life of our Lord:
However, these have been scarce and a real treat on the rare occasions I've encountered them. The majority of Easter eggs are revolting traps to lure youngsters into the most abominable sins imaginable.
Sodomy. Obviously.
1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Fornication. Obviously. The few adolescents who've escaped the sodomistic seduction will still fail the test for Salvation if they receive Easter eggs similar to the one depicted below. This one contains minuscule transvestite sodomistic homunculi.
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Still, I must also mention that on my travels I visited an auction and with the LBC funds was able to purchase this magnificent Easter egg. Obviously, it is not going to be used in any Easter egg hunt by children.
Instead, I hope it will soon be among the priceless objects in Pastor Ezekiel's Easter egg collection, where we can all enjoy them through the eyes of Pastor Zeke knowing that the Joy he feels when he sees them is radiated also to us although the eggs remain unseen by our less deserving visual organs.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

As a Freehold taxpayer, I fully support your position on this. We have to draw the line somewhere, and demanding that parents foot the bill to provide fun activities for their children is a good start. If parents believe that they need to rely on the GUBMINT to help their children find some sort of fleeting and careless joy in living, we are sending the wrong message.

I chalk up much of the Commie Youths of America to the tradition of Easter egg hunts. The bleeding heart Commie liberals preach a ridiculous and unsustainable message of gimme this, gimme that, gimme everything for free, then prop the nonsense up with egg hunts which teach the children that they can romp around picking up free stuff without having to work for it.
Back in Texas, I used to save painted eggs for an entire year in the tin-roofed lawnmower shed. Then, a few days before Easter I would take the eggs to the city park and hide them. When the freeloading toddlers picked them up and cracked them open they would retch, gag, and vomit from the abominably foul stench of rotted eggs. As soon as I heard them start projectile vomiting I would pop out from behind a tree and yell "No free lunch, you damned hippy moochers!"
Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

My 8 teenage sons has a different kind of hunt, every easter, that we in our family calls the easter fag hunt.
They split into four different 2-man teams, and heads to gay areas of Des Moines. They turn on their Grindr apps, and lures some homo into a dark alley. Right when the homo is about to take off his pants and team member nr. 1 is on his knees, team member nr. 2 (who has been waiting in the alley) sneaks up behind and hits the homo in the head unconscious with a wooden poker. Then they take the homo's wallet as reward (and replace it with a relevant Chick Tract they got from me, as we are a kind and generous family we give everyone a second chance), and they always take some trophy like a gay so-called "wedding" ring that almost all of them has these days, or a pony tail. The team that has collected most trophies wins. The 3 loosing teams gets a good beating by me and the winning team.
Team Bobby-Joe and John won this year, with a total 14 "wedding" rings an 3 pony tails.

I hope to Jesus we will uphold Family Values® and prosecute any person that dyes an egg or has a Chocolate Bunny in their possession.
This time of Year we morn the death of Jesus at the hands of the hook nosed joos and then celebrate His ability to move an immovable boulder after being trapped for three days to rise from the Earth and ascend into Heaven.
The last thing I want to hear about is some absurd tradition of hiding eggs.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Here is an example from the British "Daily Mail" of the persecution of Christians who want nothing more than to help people get to Heaven by understanding Jesus's Sacrifice:
Quote:
Christian who ranted at Katy Perry's father about his 'satanic daughter' screams at Easter Bunny
Christine Weick shouted at someone dressed as the Easter Bunny outside a Tennessee church
Christian yelled 'shame on you' and claimed the costume was a 'pagan' ritual
'My life is with the Lord Jesus Christ you died on a cross, not some stinking bunny', she said
She later interrupted a church's family Easter egg hunt by protesting with a crucified Easter Bunny toy
Weick has protested against gay rights, suggested Monster energy drink is satanic and disrupted Muslim events
Last year she ranted at Katy Perry's pastor father that his daughter was 'leading families astray'
The Christian lady was filmed storming up to the waving bunny and yelling at them for participating in a 'pagan' ritual.
'This is a church of the Holy God. You are nothing more than Santa Claus coming to a church,' she said. 'Shame on you."

We may be witnessing the Christian backlash that seems to have faltered since the demise of Westboro Baptist.

Thank you for posting that informative news item, Pastor Bathfire.
I do not want the children of Freehold to witness colored eggs and people in heathen bunny costumes on the day Jesus died for our sins.

I don't live in Freehold, but I wanted to offer a suggestion for what the children should do on Easter. A re-enactment of the day that Jesus died for our sins sounds heavenly to me. Make the children build their own life sized crosses to carry down the streets themselves parade style while another set of older young adults pretends to whip them to continue walking down until they reach the end of the street to a local park to erect their crosses. Would definitely teach your kids how Jesus felt dying for our sins and also teach your kids good Christian values at the same time.

What is going on with these heathens? Once they were happy to pagan-it-up-at-home but nowadays they have to parade themselves around the streets in pigging costumes? Perhaps I'm more naďve than I thought I was and have learned so many interesting things since joining the congregation here, which has helped my spiritual growth as I'm sure has been the case for others. But what exactly is pigging? Now I've heard about dogging, for example in Dr Toole's post, and quite frankly I was horrified. It was like a little horrible bomb going off inside me. Can you even imagine what it would be like? I suppose if you left the engine running and the heater on full blast it wouldn't be too bad in winter, it makes me feel sick just thinking about it! Ew! But what is pigging? And what sorts of costumes are worn? Is it rabbits only?
When people reject Jesus is there anything they won't do? As Easter approaches we need to remember how much He suffered to set us free from celebrating pagan goddesses and lightning gods and the activities going on in heathen temples which certainly don't bear thinking about for very long, or even at all, but with evil now openly displayed and touting for business we also need to remember those who embrace idolatrous festivities and the impious witness they bear to anyone who'd listen and be deceived. We should also bear witness explaining what they risk by participating the hijacked, pagan version of Easter. And if pigging comes into it we need to know what that is...prayerfully, Mitza.

Some Freehold Elementary School kids came to the Mayor's office yesterday on a field trip. One cute little girl asked the question I get every year, "Is Freehold going to have an Easter egg hunt this year?"
It was a chance to me to explain to all the children the evil of sin. I explained other cities that have Easter egg hunts invariably find a rainbow colored egg. The children learned homerism is a sin and a rainbow egg promotes that sin. Jesus would not be happy with us promoting sin when he went to all the bother of dying for our sins.
I think the children understood.

The first Easter Egg hunt is described in Isaiah:10, And it was done by the King of Assyria, a pagan, under the Command of God, Who knows how to punish people properly!
Isa:10:8: For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
Isa:10:9: Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
Isa:10:10: As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
Isa:10:11: Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
Isa:10:12: Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory ofhis high looks.
Isa:10:13: For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds ofthe people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
Isa:10:14: And my hand [i.e. the King of Assyria’s hand] hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I [i.e. the King of Assyria ] gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
Isa:10:15: Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Isa:10:16: Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
Isa:10:17: And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
In short, if you don’t worship God, and you don’t do it right, God will send some mad, pagan, tyrant to slaughter, rape and rob you and then set fire to you in no particular order!
I see no reason to celebrate the shame of not loving God.

I ran a campaign when I was in middle school with my church to ban Easter egg hunts on the basis that they were training kids to be homers. Little boys and girls finding rainbow colored eggs hoping to find a “surprise”. The real “surprise” was for the parents ten years down the line wondering why they’ll never have grand kids.
My church’s campaign had to be clever in order to convince the town that Easter egg hunts were dangerous as well. Threw in the argument that pedos would have eggs hidden in their back yards and cellars and such. Wouldn’t you know it though, it worked! No Easter egg hunt in my town for the past 7 years.
My name is Maxine Levantine. I am 17 and follow the KJV Bible to a T. If you are wanting to hit on me you can turn away. THIS is reserved for Jesus and my future husband (whoever that may be).

I often attend the Central Park Easter Egg Hunt, where I discreetly place plastic eggs containing Chick Tracts inside. I have faith that the Holy Spirit has brought many to the Savior through this ministry.
It just goes to show you that Jesus can use anything for His glory.
Glory Hallelujah! He has rose!
Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”
Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen

I got the same call last night I've gotten for years. "Mayor, where is the Easter egg hunt?"
I try to be patient but when our own citizens here in Freehold do not recognize Easter eggs are Pagan, we have work to do. Children need to know Easter is not some happy, happy time. It's when the Jews killed Jesus. Explaining year after year Freehold does not allow an Easter egg hunt just does not seem to sink in.
My advice to parents who want some kind of fun and memorable experience for their small children at Eastertime is this. Take them to hear Pastor Zeke's Easter sermon. Tell them not to squirm, whisper and draw pictures. Explain to them this is their special time to learn about sin and that the Jews killed Jesus.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Amen to that, Bro. Mayor Hold. Here in the Lukes household we hold a screening of The Passion of the Christ on the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Mel Gibson may be an Aussie Catlick Hollyweirdo, but his depiction of the Jews in this film is spot on:
Much more appropriate for Christian children than pagan egg-laying rabbits. Say, who named it "Good" Friday anyway? That's the day the Jews tried to kill God! I'm inclined to think it was them, given that this was the foundational moment of their grotesque religion.
