Amen to that Brother G! There are a number of figures in the Bible whom The Lord has blessed. But we do not worship them in the sense of singing songs of praise to them or directing our prayers of supplication to them.


King David is known as "A man after God's own heart" but no Christian congregation sings songs to him, even if many of the psalms that he wrote are sung as musical praise-worship to God.


The Apostle Paul was charged by the Holy Spirit to write much of the New Testament scriptures, and this was after Jesus blessed him with a personal visit and blinding. Songs are not sung celebrating Paul's get-together with The Lord, and only deluded Catholics would think of praying to Paul.


The whole point of Jesus coming down here is so that worshippers could approach God directly, once cleansed in Jesus' sin-removing blood. Why would anyone claiming to believe in Jesus as the Redeemer invent a bunch of "gatekeeper" semi-deities to relay messages to God on their behalf?

In the new Testament, Jesus asked his apostles to do this in remembrance of me, which indicates that He wanted them to be his ministers of the Sacrament, and as they are cooperating with Jesus, they may be called mediators of God and men although in a sense subordinate to that of the Perfect Mediator.

In the KJV OT, the word mediator appears 0 times. In the NT it appears 6 times, in Galatians, 1 Timothy, and Hebrews. It refers to Jesus there.

If everything the Catholic Church has taught in the past 2000 years is correct, then anytime that some Pope or other has corrected/altered/amended anything taught over the 2000 years, He has been correcting something that was correct in the first place.
