Jesus teaches that WELFARE just does NOT work! -
09-07-2015, 04:15 PM
We've all read the story in the gospels of how Jesus fed about 5000 people with five loaves or bread and 2 small fishes. But fake mainstream Christianity twisted the meaning of this event altogether. They'd have us believing that this story was about the joy of giving, fellowship and charity. However, what this story is really about is how WELFARE just does NOT work.
Let's look at the account in John the 6th chapter (John 6:1-66):
Quote:
After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. 2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.
3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
4 And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.
|
Now, all seems fair and good here... doesn't it? However, this is where most false Christians end the story. They tell the story as if Jesus fed everyone, and they were all happy, sat around listening to stories, sang kumbaya together, and lived happily ever after. But they are missing the point of this story altogether. Let's keep reading:
Quote:
14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
|
"Hey look! He gives us free stuff! Let's make him king over us so that we can leech off of him forever!!! Quick... grab him before our free meal ticket gets away!!!" But Jesus was having none of it... he got out of there, and got out of there fast... separating himself from those lazy freeloaders.
So what happens next?
Quote:
22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;
23 (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks
24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life...
|
So the next day, the people searched for Jesus, and eventually found him. But did they come for his teachings? No, they were there for a free handout! Jesus was trying to teach these people "spiritual things". However, all they could think about was getting something for free... much like your typical democrat.
But yet again, what does Jesus try to do? He once again tries to teach them. But what was the final result?
Quote:
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
|
That's right... no more free handouts and the freeloaders said: "Screw that! We're out of here!"
So as we now can clearly see, the important lesson of this story is not what fake Christianity tries to make it out to be. No, the clear lesson here is that welfare simply does not work! Jesus knows all things. Therefore, he wanted to show us™ what welfare truly does. It makes good for nothing freeloaders hang around with their hands out looking for more and more, until there's nothing left to give.
Let's all be like Jesus, and stop giving handouts to the freeloading welfare bums right now! And hopefully they will all eventually leave too. Maybe they'll all go to Canada or Mexico.

How often does Jesus help anyone? Just once. Heals the sick once. Feeds the poor once. After that He expects them to have stopped sinning and thus be able to care for themselves.
In Obama's America people get their welfare checks for free, there is no commitment to stop their life of crime. With Obamacare we see people going to the hospital with their cancers and what not and then two years later you see the exact same people again, because their cancer has allegedly relapsed. If you ask me they just want another free stay at the hospital. Cancer sufferers pretty much see hospital stays as their vacations, and who wouldn't want a free vacation? That's what Obamacare has done.
The entire welfare system needs to be overhauled now to bring it in line with Christian Values™. One single meal and a sermon on how to behave is a proven method of welfare, straight from the Bible. You can't ask for anything better than that!
Leviticus 26:15-16
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

A rousing and ruthlessly logical essay, Brother!
If I may, I'd like to add that receiving welfare per se may be detrimental to a man's potential for Salvation.
2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
Proverbs 16:26
He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
In the context of your informative post this means that at least purely material aid in the form of foodstuffs is unwarranted without hard physical labor to fulfill the commands of Jesus! Perhaps some immaterial welfare items can be considered but only in case a True Christian™ brother is at need.
1 Peter 5:14
Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Now, me and my family often eat at visit a local charity and we always demand that the hobos and boozers over there clean their own dishes and sweep the floor.
Here we can see Jacob and Rebekah at the well. They labored for their food!
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

What the fluffbunny lower case christians seem to forget is that Jesus performed a Miracle! He didn't rob honest, hard working fish mongers and bakers to feed the poor. He multiplied the loaves and fishes.
These leeching mendicants need to quit having Comrade Obama reach into our pockets in order to stuff their gullets. They need to pray to the Miracle Worker Himself, Jesus, for a miracle meal. If they go to bed hungry they only have themselves to blame for not praying hard enough.
Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Amen! Jesus teaches us a similar story in parable in Matthew 25: 14-30. In it, there are 3 servants. One receives 5 talents, one receives 2, and the last servant receives only 1 talent.
The first two servants double their talents, bringing their totals up to 10 talents, and 4 talents, respectively. The last servant buries the talent, keeping it safe for his master. When the master returns, he scolds the one servant. In this parable, talent could be seen as a representation of hard work and money.
Matthew 25: 26 " His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:"
The bible says the servant who failed to profit is wicked and slothful.
The story acknowledges that not everyone starts with the same thing. Some people are simply born into wealth. This is because God knows that people who are poor are wicked, slothful, and would waste their wealth. People who are born into wealth on the other hand are those who have a tendency to increase that wealth. This is why people who are already wealthy tend to increase their wealth vastly, while those who are poor tend to grow even poorer.
The two servants who make a profit represent hard working Americans who are able to make a profit. The other one servant represents the 47% of wicked, slothful people that Mitt Romney alluded to who fail to pay any federal income tax.
This is further reinforced by Matthew 17:24-27, where Jesus mentions that people should pay taxes. By failing to pay taxes, these people are scum who are ignoring Jesus, and getting exactly what they deserve.
Psalm 11:5 " The Lord trieth the righteous: But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth."
What does God say about those who are wicked? Simple, God hates the wicked. He doesn't just “hate the sin” as some liberal false Christians would have you believe.
God hates wicked people Psalm 11:5
The story ends the way it should, with the master taking the one talent from the wicked, slothful servant, and giving it to the good productive servant who has 10 talents.
Matthew 25:29 " For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath."
This verse not only shows the amazing predictive powers of Jesus, (further proof of his divinity), but it also demonstrates that poor people should have what little they have taken away. While those who are wealthy should be given even more. This story proves that Jesus is in support of regressive, not a progressive tax. By adopting a progressive tax, Demoncrats are spitting in Jesus’s face .
Matthew 25:30 " And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth"
Lastly, the story ends with the unprofitable servant being cast into outer darkness.
Notice the common theme in each of these stories. It's pretty clearcut, Jesus gives them one and only one handout, and what they do with it after that determines future rewards. Godly men like Trump receive an inheritance of 40 million, and turn that into 10 billion dollars. Had the people taken the bread, and turned that bread into two or three loaves Jesus might have considered giving them more. The lazy men who ate the bread on the other hand should have no expectation of receiving more.
I would like to see a similar system implemented when it comes to welfare. Everyone who needs Welfare/Food Stamps/Section 8/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)/Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TAFT), Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or any other government handout should get only one check. In a month, we should check back to see what they did with that check and make their benefits contigent upon that. Those who wasted the check by consuming it to get food or rent or whatever else should get nothing else (and possibly they should also have what little they have taken away and given to someone who knows how to use it). On the other hand, those who invest the food stamps (eg. buy fruit so they can plant the seeds and start a farm) should receive more. Jesus is in favor of a heavily regressive tax system.
Close minded people are just right people who don't want to spend time arguing.

Anyone who thinks that the "war on poverty" is winnable is calling Our Lord Jesus Christ a liar:
[Matthew 26:11 KJV] 11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
Also, in the early church, which liberal false Christians inexplicably like to compare to socialism, people were told who should provide:
[1 Timothy 5:8 KJV] 8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Genesis 3:19 bears heavily on this subject. God's word is that the food you eat must come from your labors.

Once again, the Bible (KJV1611) is instructive. God just didn't give the joos a handout and said vote Democrat in the next election.
Quote:
Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
