What Did YOU Do to Rescue a Soul Today? -
11-18-2018, 06:19 PM
All of us are running around, preparing for the Day of Giving Thanks, looking forward to the season of our Savior's birth, and other noble actions. But:
What have you done to snatch a soul from the devil's grasp today?
Begin.
Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”
Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen

I have a little hellion in my 1st grade Sunday School class. She kept interrupting the lesson and was just a demon! So after class, I took her aside and explained to her just what would happen in Hell - how the demons would rape her and torture her. I didn't leave out one detail! By the time we finished, she was trembling and crying and she gave herself to Jesus right then and there!

I'm making an effort to rescue all of YOU from Satan's magnum opus which is Churchianity.

Every day, I touch someone's soul. The more they resist my advances, the more compelled I am to work the good Lords work. We can over power the hapless.
I sometimes have to reach around and struggle to get a good grip on it, but I fight the good fight for God. He commands me to wage war on the lost and unwanted. Little makes me feeling more satisfied than to know a person has felt the release that Jesus provides.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Brother Jim,
Your post made me long for the souls of men. I want so much to give them the fulfillment only Christ can provide. I also want you to stop by next time you're in this area.
We can watch The Gun Channel and play with our Magnums.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: What Did YOU Do to Rescue a Soul Today? -

Today I was waiting in a supermarket line and I could not help seeing, in front of me, that there was a certain woman with a girl-child (whom I took to be her daughter).
Significantly, resting upon the conveyor in front of them was a pair of jeans – a child's jeans with small red hearts embroidered on them and a belt with pearls studded on it and with a gold buckle.
Now all this was a little troubling to me: It appeared that the woman was about to buy men’s clothes (jeans) made all the more unholy by a gold buckle and pearls (Deuteronomy 22:5; 1 Timothy 2:9).
The theological question arose:
- Are jeans pants suitable only for males?
- If they are, would the small hearts disqualify them from male use, and thus render the attire “neutral” and thus of no spiritual concern?
- And what is the significance of the pearls and gold buckle? At supermarket prices they are not going to be genuine.
In circumstances like these, it is usual to fall to one’s knees and fervently pray for guidance – and so I did.
Although it is most difficult to pray when a small child is screaming, and a woman is shouting “ Are you OK? Are you OK? Are you OK?” over and over, I did receive an answer.
Christ’s calm and perfectly modulated voice spoke and it said “Proverbs 19:21; 1 John 1:8“ I rose and addressed the woman.
“Thank you for your concern, it is clear that you are an atheist or Catholic. I see you have decided to use your daughter to play the Harlot as did Tamar before Judah (Gen:38). Your Damnation is assured but consider for one moment the soul of your poor innocent child! These! (I held up the offending jeans) are the same as having your daughter blaspheme the Holy Spirit – they are an abhorrence unto your Lord and God… And He sees all!
Reject your heathen ways, your abominations and fall with me on your knees, the jeans will be replaced with a sober dress and all will be well! Let us pray together!”
Well, I won’t go into what happened thereafter – suffice it to say that Jesus was not wrong when He said that those preaching His Word will be persecuted. And, in fact I never did find out if the woman took God’s advice, but I hope she did.

I was walking home with my Pa from school today and a homeless family was begging us for help. My Pa smiled and said he would put them in his prayers tonight. I followed suit and offered to pray for the homeless family this thanksgiving. They gave us some funny looks after we walked off. They may have been atheists. Regardless, it felt good to offer something meaningful like prayer to the homeless.

That sounds terrific. Little makes me happier than firing off a few rounds from a like minded masculine male. No females crying about how we are not paying attention to them and their selfish needs.
Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
I bet you have a terrific green lawn. Call me!

There's always room for you here, Jim. I've PM'ed you my number. Just call when you're around here - anytime.
I'm touched by the FEW who have left something in this thread. God will bless you, trust me. Those who have nothing to testify, perhaps you need to examine your experience with the Lord. Get over yourselves.
In Christian Love,

Today, I saw a homeless veteran begging at an intersection. I did what every Christian would do, I lifted my prayers, that God takes away his PTSD and makes him into a productive member of the society again, so that he can earn money for his drugs instead of begging for it.
It felt so good, doing this good deed for a man who fought in one of America's endless wars, for our own freedom in some distant, God forsaken land with unpronounceable name.

Offering beggars our prayers is a great idea, Sister. I've always wondered what to do about those veterans begging at stop lights. They try to make eye contact so Christians like ourselves feel guilty. When a line of cars are stopped and someone rolls down a window the beggar hustles over to collect a dollar or two.
I've been thinking we from Landover Baptist could help them while not feeling so guilty about giving nothing. We could roll down our windows and hand them a card that says, "I am praying you find Jesus, peace, money and good health. Signed, Landover Baptist Church." I think they would be grateful.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I never roll down the window at stop lights. If God had intended me to do so, he would not have blessed me with air-con. The beggars that annoy me most are the ones who attempt to clean your already sparkling windscreen with a filthy rag and succeed only in making it dirty. They should be fined or, if unable to pay, jailed.
