Greetings -
09-29-2015, 11:09 PM
Hi; brand new forum user, here.
Found Jesus my freshman year at college. Had been raised in Roman Catholic family, but the reality and beauty of the Gospel was never revealed to me, during all those years. Then, a Christian brother took the time and showed me the Way and prayed with me to receive Christ.
I attend various small groups and churches. One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 1:1-6. (Actually, 6 "verses," but the entire paragraph is so beautiful and inspiring.) I daily strive to "walk in a manner worthy of the calling."
Looks like I have LOTS of reading to do, to catch up. Looking forward to this new means of bringing glory to God. - Rodrigo

Welcome friend! No, you did nothing wrong. For every actual Christian that joins to fellowship with us and share their walk with Jesus, we get 20 filthy atheists that only pretend to be born again, their true intention being to mock God and insult or ridicule us for our strong faith in Christ. So we assume the worst by default.
Time will tell which category you fall in, but again, welcome. Tell us more about yourself. Is it fair to assume that you are of the Latino people? Do you have a running car? Do you have your own gardening business?
In Christ

Welcome to God's Favorite Forums™, Rodrigo! I just know Christ Jesus has led you here for a purpose. How old are you? Do you have a family? Any sons? PRAISE GOD!

Thank you for the welcomes, Harry and Harold, humor included. : )
I am an American, of partial Hispanic background. One son, a college student. I own/manage multiple businesses (none of them landscaping-related) and am a part-time musician, so my time available for God's Favorite Forums will be limited. Nonetheless, I look forward to learning/sharing/growing - whatever God has in store.

Welcome then, Rodrigo. We are Christian here and friendly. It is a welcome change to see another Christian come among us. Most who appear are either godless heathens and Democrats, come to try to vex Christians with their double talk, or false Christians, such as the Romans you have successfully escaped from. I might add that we praise God when one such as you, an escapee from Rome, joins with us for praise and fellowship. Shout Glory!
Do tell us more of your time among the unsaved and your adventures in finding Jesus. Leave out no details. Also, we do much work in the area of rescuing those trapped by the Roman religion. It is quite costly. Are you in funds? And what revolver do you favor? What is your congregation?
God Bless!

Thank you for the welcome, Alvin.
"Escapee from Rome" - I like it!
Yeah, RCC youth, elementary school, altar boy, confirmation, etc. - for me, it added up to a bunch of spiritual nothingness. Perhaps, I wasn't paying enough attention. Fortunately, during that youth, none of the RCC priests were paying me much attention, either, if you catch my drift.
Except for a couple of funerals, I haven't set foot in an RCC church, since being saved, 30 years ago. To me, they are as fabric stores or cigar shops; I know they are there, but don't plan to stop by, anytime soon.

Hello and
Have you thanked God yet for steering you into His favorite forum? You should, as He clearly has a plan for you, and it's a sort of plan that may actually include Salvation, and not Hell that He created for the 99.9% of humanity.
Praise God!

Thank you for the colorful welcome, Basilissa. (A name with a spice in it - excellent!)
Yes, I thank God for/in all things, including His favorite forum. His plan for me included salvation, many years ago, but I recognize the process is never-ending. (Philippians 2:12.)

Nevertheless, my Catholic father and Orthodox mother (both on their way to ) weren't cooking when they were naming me, but thinking of an Orthodox saint.

Named after an Orthodox saint; that's a heavy burden, no?
"South of the Border outreach program." That sounds like a very exciting ministry. How much of your time do you spend down there?

HOLA, RODRIGO,
DO YOU-O HAVE-O A GREEN CARD-O? WE-O WELCOME YOU-O TO OUR-O CHURCH FORUM-O! MY-O HUBCAPS-O DON'T COME OFF-O. IF YOUR WIFE-O OR SHACKJOB-O MAKE-O THE TAMALES, I WOULD LIKE A DOZEN-O. TWELVE-O TAMALES, SI?

DIOS BENDIGA CON CARNE!
Apologies, everyone. My Mexican is a little rusty, but I remember the basics of speaking loudly and adding O's to the end of things.

Hello Rodrigo, I couldn't help but notice you're using a Rastafarian flag as your profile pic. That, coupled with your being a musician, tells me you probably smoke a lot of marijuana.
I suppose that might be legal on whatever island you live on, but let me just warn you, if they catch you trying to bring that trash into the United States, why, that would be a mistake you might spend the rest of your life paying for.

Hola, mis amigo, and bless my bandana – so many warm greetings from the frigid North!
Replies to your many kind questions and greetings, in no particular order: “Yes” (si), “OK” (OK!), “No” (no), “Soon, if I can get my car started” (Ha), and “Thank you for the thoughtful warning regarding the recreational use of one of God’s plants” (besa mi burro.)
Señor Des, thank you for your “intento fallido” to greet me in Español. Indeed, it is muy dificil to communicate with us, unless in person. Then, we can converse in fluent English, if you are buying something, such as tamales, lovingly made by my shackjob-o®.
Sister Basilissa, thank you for sharing the account of your help with God’s work, “south of the border” – truly inspiring. I also enjoy spending as much time down there, as possible, despite the crowding, humidity, and unique odors. Perhaps we will bump into each other at such a location, some day.

I literally couldn't understand a word of what you typed. The only thing I could read was the threat of rape as quoted above.
I don't understand how it is you have access to a computer to make such threats? Have you taken a good Christian family hostage in their home?

I can't wait for these Mexicans to get to building that darned Wall (thank you in advance, Future President, Donald Trump). With all this pent up raping energy, they should get it completed in no time.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I do not enjoy spending time in Godless South America, for the same reasons you've listed.
You seem to be forgetting about the power lines gone wild - seriously, it seems like every time a power line is not working, they give up on trying to find and replace it and just add a new one:
